  1. Some of the characters look silly and inhuman, I suggest maybe some knights in suits of armor and harnesses with authentic plates and pigface bascinets.Also, I dislike boots on military characters, making them look like buccaneers. I think shinbaulds, mail chausses or leather shoe+hose would look better and keep to the atmosphere.
  2. The wench looks great, the rouges however look like pirates and are a bit silly. I think female guards will kind of break the medieval atmosphere, but if you have to include them, I think that level of armor looks about right.
  3. thanks for the suggestions, and yeah i used a stock face for the model. i'll work on splitting the tabard to be like the concept and add more details overall.
  4. i see. it's going to be awhile until i finish then. do you guys have any suggestions on the model itself? where do i need to improve? add or subtract polygons?
  5. thanks. but i've tried uv mapping once. i don't know why, but it just wouldn't work. either i pressed the wrong button or didn't know what i was doing. does anyone want to help me uv map it?
  6. hi, i just installed the st lucia mod, but the game environment is entirely black. besides the props, nothing else has any texture at all. what's wrong? edit. nvm, found answer in the faq. but still, does anyone know why the mod defaults to those settings?
  7. hi, i'd like to contribute to the mod with this soldier model. included is a concept art so if you decide to adopt this model, and uvmap/texture it, the concept should give you an idea of what it's wearing. about the model. the character wears a tabard, with mail hauberk underneath and mail chausses leggings. there is also a metallic arm brace. i based the helmet on those worn by high medieval period infantry. it is supposed to be grooved but i have no idea how to do that as my skills are limited: thank you for your consideration the model: http://files.filefront.com/gcrusaderobj/;1...;/fileinfo.html concept on the right:
