I don't think it should come across as harsh to anyone, simply because of the fact that it's directed at behaviour rather than people. It would've been harsh and uncalled for for me to imply that the mere overuse of an in-joke implies any sort of negative trait in a person, but I didn't. I just said it's weird behaviour, and it is. Being weird and cringeworthy doesn't mean you're a weird, cringeworthy person, just that you are acting as such in that moment.

I wouldn't say so. I get bitter when people ruin good things by running them into the ground, but I think it's justified. When it's overused to the point of saturation it loses meaning, and stops being funny far before that point. Same goes for anything else!

I'm assuming it's not just me who cringes at the people who try to fit 'taff' into every sentence in one form or another. We get it, you like Thief. We all do. Stop being weird.

Just keep an eye out for outdated stuff. Some buttons have been moved around, and there are now new ways to do things that seem really complicated in that guide. Take everything with a pinch of salt, and if something doesn't add up just search it on the wiki and learn from that page instead.
