  1. We... well I already have a musician but it's never a bad thing to have two, so welcome in the team! Here comes the absolute truth: The Sly Project progresses really slowly. Why? Because almost everything is in place but I don't have any capable people to do their "jobs". I had 3-4 mappers but after a while they left me, because Real Life™ troubles. They are all nice guys but this kind of attitude destroys everything. Some of them said they are working hard, and after a couple of months they vanished. That's why I cannot show the community any touchable materials. Nowadays the situation is a little bit better. It seems I'll have a quality mapper if I can convince him to join. 2 musicians/sound designers, 1 modeler and 1 graphical artist. I also have my new HD camera. Just need to find the right places to record the cutscenes. This is a 5 missions long campaign. We need at least 3 more level designers to progress satisfactorily. If there is a good mapper out there, who wants to build a mission for a full campaign and not "just" a single mission, here is the chance!
  2. Hey Fidcal, join us! There are some empty places for level designers.
  3. I know that many of you guys think this project is a dead-end. So I decided to create a very short Pre-Trailer video. I try to finish it soon.
  4. It is never too late. DR is an user friendly editor. I also have some mapping experiences from DromEd, Quark and even from DR but I want to spare my energy for the overall project. Being a mapper as well would be too much for me right now. What I'm saying: If you catch up with DR you are welcome in the team!
  5. Hello!

I saw on TDM forums that you are a very talented level designer. Could you lend your talents for The Sly Project? (http://tsp.comlu.com)

We have no level designers yet and the project was announced almost a year ago. Please join us! I'm looking forward to your answer friend.

    Best wishes: Oszkár Winkler

  6. Hello!

You mentioned on TDM forums that you are a skilled modeler. Could you lend your talents for The Sly Project? (http://tsp.comlu.com) There are only a few models we need.

If you are interested, please e-mail me: woszkar@gmail.com

    Thank you! :)

  7. No screenshots yet, sorry. We were just unlucky with level designers so far. Real life businesses are too tight for everyone. However some of the first briefing video's images will be published in a couple of weeks. After that the full video.
  8. Attention! The project desperately needs a talented level designer for mission 1. It is a closed, ancient temple-like mission. Please join us!
  9. I created a quick background image for anyone's desktop as a reminder: The Sly Project will come for you! You can grab it from the official website: http://tsp.comlu.com ("Extras")
  10. I meant much larger areas. But you know what? You are right. Doom 3 is a great engine.
  11. Yes, I'm talking about this but with real actors and places.
  12. The first video is not a cutscene but a briefing video. It is different. There are some huge outdoor scenes in Sly that Doom 3 engine cannot render properly.
  13. Sorry for my funny sentence. I meant the cutscenes are 100% real. No digital (polygon) actors.
  14. Szia! Érdekel. :) Már küldtem is e-mailt.

  15. When you are ready, please tell us. You have plenty of time to do the mapping and also don't have to build the 5 missions all by yourself. The first level will be the demo for this campaign. It contains a briefing video and a cutscene (with real, human actors) as well. After we finish this first mission, hopefully things will speed up a little...
  16. This is a 5 missions long campaign. I understand you won the 2010 summer vertical build contest. Congratulations! Are you interested in to join us? We really need a talented level designer.
  17. Unfortunately things are extremely slow at the moment. Establishing a powerful team is harder than I thought, even with this nice and helpful community. The main problem is we lack of people. No volunteers for level editing, modeling and animating. And even if we do have any sometimes, after a while these people become way too busy to help. This is sad but I never give up. The Sly Project IS going to make it to the end. It is only the matter of time. Up to now I gave out a very small amount of information about the story, the characters etc. but I have my reasons. I want all the Thief fans to enjoy this new episode without knowing everything about it before the final release. Please believe me! It is worth to put the effort in it, so if someone can help, please don't hesitate to join! Serpentine: It is good to hear. Would you like to join forces with SiyahParsomen as a mapper?
  18. Not exactly recording but there will be no copyright issues I promise.
  19. Everything will be shared. Player voices, music, AI vocals for guards, mages and builders. (hopefully both sexes will be present)
  20. Current situation: - Mr. Semih Sancar is working hard on Mission 1. - Master Benjamin Rusch (Mortem Desino) is about to record whole new vocal sets for The Sly Project. - I have just begun recording the main character's vocal set. TONS of comments! Much more than actually will show up in Sly. Even better news: After the final release everything will be available for the modders!
  21. I'm looking for level designers, modelers, animators and voice actors for my TDM campaign! If you got what it takes, please apply!

  22. The Sly Project is not dead yet, so don't worry. However it seems first I need to create a trailer video because nobody takes the project seriously without it. I hope you understand. At the moment I'm collecting money for a HD video camera, so we can record the materials. I'm still looking for talented people who want to help.
  23. Working on it, but I'm afraid this project will eat up lots of time. Sorry for that. Anyway, we try to bring some pics for you soon.
