Been trying your beta map and there were a couple of problems I encountered in the 20 minutes i played (have not finished the mission yet). First one was the plant in the courtyard, it acts funny. I cant jump while inside the center of the plantation, and when i do happen to jump, something really funny is happening, like I'm floating at jump level. Also the barrels in the attic are a pain, I got stuck in them so bad i had to load.

Will somebody here nuke me up if I said I actually liked the faster pace of the new thief? Let's just agree that after the third load, creeping in the shadows at snail pace is just tedious. And for those who are against the dash thingy, no one says you HAVE to use it. You can disable the command and forget about it. This is ONE thing I like about the game that people in general seem to be so angry at. Other than this, yes, I agree, it just doesn't look like a Thief anymore.

Yes, I've noticed the dark shadow that takes pretty much your entire screen space. Pretty hard to miss it, lol.

I haven't followed attentively all the posts and news about thief so far, but is it just me or there's no intermediate state of hiding? Like when you're in dim light, not in full sight but not in full darkness either. By looking at the new footage it seems as you're either IN or OUT of total darkness. The gem is either day bright or completely dark.

Thanks, and, well, depends on what kind of cutscenes you're thinking about. This, I can do. It was made with no budget at all, more like a "for fun" promo trailer for a book launch of a friend of mine. He did the video editing and all. I only did the artwork (take in consideration the date of the video, my work has much improved since then).

Hm...I actually never did steampunk things now that I think about it. It can't be too hard, I'll give it a shot. Anything specific you have in mind?

Firstly, I'd like to say hello to the community and introduce myself. My name is Andrei, I'm 20, currently in art college. I'm a video-game enthusiast (and obviously a Thief fan), and I'm willing to offer my hand to the modding community of TDM. Properly. Here's my personal gallery. Note I don't have any Thief related stuff yet, as I'm just posting to show my abilities and see if there's any need for me here. I'd have posted this topic in the "I want to help" section, but for some reason I couldn't. After I'm done with the exams (shitty period I'm stuck in now), I'll do some thief-ish art, to be more on-topic.
