  1. After an absence of many moons, I will be working on my maps again. The latest DR compiled properly and I can finally get back into mapping. :)

  2. New CPU is 2-core Pentium 3.2GHz cheapo... but it clocked to 4.3GHz without complaining. My system booted with no issues on the first try after moving my drives and gpu to new case, mobo, cpu, ram, and psu. Lots of games to test, but Unigine Valley tested rather nicely in ultra quality, as did lotro. :)

Yes. The Courier, name rhymes with EdFex, did cover the damage (approx $1500). Even after spending an additional $220 to get it up and running, I think I still did alright. I am a bit disappointed with the dead ssd driver, but am looking more forward to getting an m.2 module, which the new mobo fully supports :)

BTW, for the geeks among us, the NZXT Phantom 820 tower, in steel-grey, looks like a Cylon Raider. I'm talking the RDM BSG, not 1978. I'm naming it "Scar", and will show why soon :)

  3. New mobo just arrived. MSI Z97 Gaming 3. If the used CPU (i7 4770) and RAM (32G 1600MHz) are good, this is going to be one interesting night. :) I have an SSD drive and an 1TB WDC Black drive are waiting in the wings as well. GeForce GTX 780 is already working, but currently on 5 year old hardware. Tonight all that changes. Fingers Crossed. I'm Going In.

Was set back a bit... The i7 CPU had been burnt (I bought someone's damaged gaming rig). I spent the other night troubleshooting the psu, case, mobo, RAM, heatsink and CPU. The CPU had been fried by by being turned on in the old damaged motherboard. Got a cheapie dual-core pentium on the way to tide me over until I can spend $$$ on an i7.

  4. I think all is well now. If you had problems with my new FM, please delete both directories and re-download it. Get Nosslak's plaguemask too first.
