  1. Well done! I only saw one issue where there was a guard who would occasionally sit for a while on an invisible chair outside one of the rooms. I'll have to go back in and scout out nearly 600 more loot, which makes me happy.
  2. BTW, the new release ran just fine when I tested it. I like how the objectives can be shown without having to back out to the menu now.
  3. Once Mandriva releases 2010.1 Powerpack, I'll get that and install the 64bit version from DVD. Their "One" release (live CD w/ installer) is 32bit only. Their "Free" version has a 64bit .iso, but lacks the proprietary video drivers, flash, java, etc... I prefer their "One" or "Powerpack" releases for the reason that all of the proprietary software is installed automatically. That saves me the hassle of configuring the non-free .rpm repositories and installing all that stuff myself. Though I still wonder why they don't offer a 64bit version of their "One" release... maybe I need to dig into their FTP and see if there is such an .iso
  4. Looks like there needs to be a tdm_update.linux.x86 made... and a rename of the current updater to tdm_update.linux.x86_64 or something like that.
  5. Anyway... I let the torrent go all night and it has completed. So the updater is not needed now in any case.
  6. Well... that would make sense. I am running 32bit Mandriva 2010.1
  7. I tried running tdm_update.linux (after making sure it was executable) and I only got 'cannot execute binary file'. I downloaded the updater again, from 2 different sources, replacing the original one and doing 'chmod +x tdm_update.linux' and I still get the same error when trying to run the binary. I can launch TDM 1.00 with './tdmlauncher.linux' just fine, and 'tdm_update.linux' has the same permissions and executable set. Has anyone successfully run the linux updater? I'm downloading the new TDM via bittorrent, but it is excruciatingly slow with only 1 seed Looking for a solution... PranQster
  8. Ahhh... ok, I didn't even touch the cash box, thinking just opening it would fail the objective.
  9. I like this one a lot. I have played it through twice so far, but am missing 10-15 loot. Last night when I played it I believe I ended up with 2068 loot and today I got 2063. So I either found 5 more last night or I found 2063 both times. I'll try again later to find the last 15 loot, but I've knocked out all but maybe 3 or 4 characters (gate guard and a few sleeping guys left alone) and searched all known places with a lantern or candle. Something is eluding me.
  10. Ok, it now launches. Thank you... my libstdc* files in my doom3 installation folder have been renamed and now it launches... gameplay not tested yet, but that solved the problem I was having. I should have checked the FAQ more thoughly. Thanks again. John C.
  11. I will look into that... though my doom3 is installed in my user's home, not in /usr/local/* .... that may be the problem.
  12. dlopen '/home/john/.doom3/darkmod/gamex86.so' failed: libstdc++.so.6: version `GLIBCXX_3.4.9' not found (required by /home/john/.doom3/darkmod/gamex86.so) Regenerated world, staticAllocCount = 0. idRenderSystem::Shutdown() Sys_Error: couldn't load game dynamic library That is the error I get when trying to run it. I had St. Lucia working when I was using Mandriva 2008.1. I updated to Mandriva 2009.1 a couple months ago and had not tried running St. Lucia since that time. I tried it (St. Lucia) last night after darkmod (tdmlauncher.linux) failed to launch, with no luck... same error for both related to gamex86.so and libstdc++.so.6(GLIBCXX_3.4.9). The funny thing is, I tried installing the version of libstdc++ from Mandriva 2008.1 and still got the same error. I do not remember having to do anything special to get St. Lucia working with Mandriva 2008.1, but maybe I did. Does anyone have this working on Linux, and can you please point me to either an RPM package or a .tar.gz which contains the version of libstdc++ I need to run this? Debian packages will do me no good. Thanks, John C.
