  1. Definitely the second one. The other two look too cheap, and remind me of those old '90s-era screensavers.
  2. So something that flew over my head, while I was typing up my intro message, were textures. I can do textures; I have a small repository of resources that I can use to whip them up. I decided to go ahead and try my hand at making a few. First up is a square window; the original is 400% of the diamond_pattern01_lit_ed texture, but I had to resize the final product to 200% because of the file size. Hopefully it's HD and detailed enough for the quality of the Dark Mod missions you guys churn out. It hasn't been tested in-game, though, so if someone would like to play around with it and get back to me, that would be great. I will upload here with more ideas as I come up with them. If you use this particular window texture, add this credit line in a readme document packaged with the mission, or in your mission's credit roll: Extra Window by Asis Made with textures from http://www.mayang.com/textures/
  3. Edit: Nevermind, found the files I needed.
  4. Springheel, I'd love to have a go at it.
  5. Where can one find textures for the AI models, such as the skirts, tunics, armour, etc. that the AI in games wears? And is it possible to edit them in a program like Paint.NET?
  6. Hi Demagogue, The idea wouldn't be to fill in too many blanks. Instead. it's more like a plot hook from an RPG sourcebook — you get some details, but you're also given freedom to build on, play with and mess around with them. The idea is to maybe give something people can mess around with for fan missions, or even scrap and rewrite completely if they have an idea better than the one I came up with. The closest analogue I can think of is something from the White Wolf style of RPGs, in terms of flexibility.
  7. Hello all, First off, let me say that I am very, very new to DarkMod, but have played all three of the Thief games. I am a great fan of the original trilogy, and even the newest one has its merits, but I feel it doesn't hold up to what the old three established. Dark Mod, however does, and I wish to help with modding it, though I am not at all talented with modelling or animation. What I do have, however, is some knowledge of the ancient societies DM's lore is based on. I am also a worldbuilder and conlanger by hobby, and would be interested in possibly creating constructed languages for our Pagan tribes. I would like to help people with history, lore and backstory, and would very much appreciate being pointed in the right direction for that sort of thing.
