1. Why not give pagans a Scottish accent? Also, here are some vocal sets I think could be added: Menoan - use an Iberian accent and use phrases from the Iberian dialects (Spanish, Portuguese, Basque, Catalan) Violent Nobleman - think Bluebeard Cynical Woman - think Liz Shaw , useful for female guards Werebeast - if you decide to scrap the planned werebeast model for a more human-looking model, maybe give them a voice similar to the Jiralhanae in the Halo games Knight of the Hammer - don't know what kind of voice would suit such characters, but I'm thinking of having Knights of the Hammer appear at some point in my main campaign, with their own models.
2. It is much easier to be disciplined about violence than refraining from swearing. Besides, bleeps are funny! Also, these laws only apply to video games, again because they're still regarded as toys. Look at Downfall.
3. Society at large still seems to regard video games as something of a kid's thing due to the interactive nature, hence the harsher rating criterias and, apparently to this day, video games are still sold in toy shops in the US (don't know about anywhere else though). Though apparently, Halo 5: Guardians recently got an ESRB T rating, the first time a first-person shooter Halo title gets such a rating. So it's either a sign that attitudes are changing, or the ESRB made a very bizarre choice. Nothing seems to have been toned down to give the game a T rating. Of course, here in Australia, the OFLC has a rather bizarre criteria for what makes a rating, though not in the way outsiders like to believe. Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2 and Halo: Reach are MA rated games (Halo: Combat Evolved was the first time we ever had an MA-rated product in our possession), Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST and Halo 4 were rated M, which means that they can be played in public - saw two kids playing a demo of Halo 3 at a Myers store once - and Halo Wars was given a PG rating (though of course, Halo Wars isn't an FPS). Don't know about Spartan Assault and Spartan Strike. To give an example of TV shows, the DVDs for Seasons 1, 3 and 4 of The Tudors are MA, yet Season 2 was given an M. Seriously, WTF? I watched that DVD, I believe it has the same amount of sex and violence as the others. But thankfully, I'm not the type who complains about this shit to the store. And I don't really give a shit if kids play TDM or watch my videos of it (or MoTmod for that matter). Stealth games usually have the option of bypassing as many NPCs as possible, and in the case of some TDM missions, not harming anyone at all. To this day, my parents believe it's better to watch a video game on YouTube than playing it. Parents, not the government or anyone else, are the best people to decide what is good for their kids. You don't become aware of controversies until your parents start complaining - it happened when we tried out Super Smash Bros. Melee.
4. No wonder the campaign seemed rather incomplete, like we don't know the fate of the Archbishop after NHAT finishes.
5. Marianne Lihannah has commented on my playthrough for this mission, apparently to correct me on some of the annotations.
6. Just some texture editing. I had XendroX do some for me, but because he doesn't regularly visit the forum, and I would like to get as much textures made as possible before the next game in the Death to Spies series finally comes out. I'm currently waiting to be accepted on Polycount, but I wouldn't mind having another artist from the TDM forums help out. You will be given credit for it.
7. Okay, I'll try there sometime.
8. If you're not too busy, perhaps you can help me out with some textures? They're not related to TDM, but I've been on the lookout for a full-time professional artist for a while now. If you're interested, I'll send you a PM.
9. Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive has AIs becoming alerted when they notice missing guards, wouldn't mind if such a thing is added to TDM, make it more realistic and make you think twice before taking out the blackjack.
10. Oh great, this causes problems, because my character with that vocal set (Derrick) is supposed to go to sleep after being berated by his fellow cook at some point in my upcoming FM. BTW, how's your voicework coming along. I've got to send the script to the other actors soon and just want to know if you changed the script.
11. I had to use the invincibility cheat to get close enough to the AIs so you can hear what they're saying better. And to be fair, the Americans are no different when it comes to talking about the rain...
12. I've adapted several lines from the jack, critic and maiden vocal sets in TDM for use in Death to Spies: Moment of Truth's MoTmod:
13. You should check these out: http://www.haggardgames.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=7 http://www.haggardgames.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=1564
14. You can get the first two games on Steam. They're published by 1C Company.
15. Thought you'd hear the last of Death to Spies 3 with the failure of the Kickstarter campaign? Not quite! Please note that this video is age-restricted, due to the fact that it was uploaded by the official publisher.
16. Like making FMs? I'm still kind of waiting for the next version of Darkradiant to come out, but I can try making a start if you say it will be a while before it does get released.
17. Here are the samples of the lines I've been practicing. Quality is a concern, but I want you to see if the accent and voice are okay. I've also included a background noise test in there. https://www.dropbox.com/s/fsm5hr5hws8yx5e/TDMTestOggs3.rar?dl=0
18. I've started to attempt at acting again. I'm currently trying to put on a low Cockney voice. Here's a transcript of the four test lines I've been practicing: Idle_1: "I'm already starting to regret volunteering for the night shift." Idle_2: "Why do I have the overwhelming urge to look over my shoulder?" Searching_evidence_1: "I know you're there, sonny-jim! Come out, so I can see you clearly!" Searching_evidence_2: "By order of the Watch, I order you to step forward!" I was thinking this voice could be useful for commoners, guards and the City Watch.
19. See the shadow cast by the sash? That gets in the way of the eagle.
20. Look at Layer 6 in the attached .psd file: https://www.dropbox.com/s/2bxkfbe1ifhnv9i/shturmbanfurer_body_rem.rar?dl=0 I want to shade the area covered by the shadow, but I can't seem to get it right with the tutorial videos I was able to find. Can anyone help me, please? I use Photoshop Elements 5.0. Thanks!
21. And here is a playthrough of the second, main mission. I could have uploaded it sooner, but I had problems with my Internet. I hope we get to see more missions like this, being able to move between the real and spirit worlds. BTW, have you ever considered adding in-game subtitles to scripted dialogue for TDM missions? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OyqFPmyIptM
22. Here's a playthrough of the first part of the campaign: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=loMa-GyCV3I
