  1. I had no idea you could even recover arrows from bodies.
  2. Of course, use them wherever you like. Edit: Just be sure to host them on the server for the site or whatever so that my photobucket account doesn't get hammered for bandwidth once the mod gets more popular, haha. But im sure rehosting them was your plan anyway.
  3. I may be wrong but I don't think those lights on the ground were supposed to appear 'lit' - I think thats a bug they are working on from what I've been told that makes unlit electric lights look lit up anyway.
  4. Newest mission Trapped! has been added!
  5. Fantastic mission, I had a blast with this one and this is coming from someone that really doesn't enjoy prison break missions normally. Perfectly paced, great atmosphere and overall really solid. Thank you! Review and screens here for anyone interested!
  6. Is the St Lucia update dead in the water? I'd really like to play it.
  7. I've played this mission through three times and got neither the 'starting with tons of gold in the shop' nor the 'loot count gets chopped off by one number' bugs. Strange.
  8. Alright its driving me crazy so I have to ask - I've combed the mission from top to bottom but still can't figure it out
  9. Thank you for the great mission - and I do hope you'll make a mansion mission ten times that size in the future
  10. Cant wait to check it out! Thank you. Edit: Loved the atmosphere, look and feel of this mission and I had alot of fun. Posted a review here with screens for anyone interested in checking it out.
  11. Great mission! I posted a review here if anyone is interested. Really enjoyed the warehouse gameplay that really showcases how great the mantling is in TDM. Thanks!
  12. Its christmas eve and I've got a few days off from work Dark Mod missions are the perfect cure for winter boredom.
  13. New review just posted for the most recent mission release "Too Late" is is right here.
  14. Didnt see this thread before, so I'll just copy and paste what I posted in another thread (thanks to plasticman for the heads up) One thing I noticed that really stands out after replaying all the DM missions released thus far is the quickness of the jumping. It seems far too fast in general (much like the arrow speed) and I think it could really benefit from being slowed down a tad and extended in length. I really enjoyed the slight float effect of jumping in thief 1 and 2 - if you don't understand what I mean go back to the older games and taking a running jump.. there is a very smooth arc to your jumps that made you feel much more agile than the HURGH PLUNK feeling of jumping in TDS and TDM. I think the combination of a better arc to jumping and the incredible mantling mechanics already present in The Dark Mod would help make jumping alot more solid feeling. Edit - Woah, when I edit posts now its adding a metric crap-ton of random html tags on its own that I have to edit out manually or they show up in my posts. I had to edit this three times just to remove the broken line breaks it added on its own. Yeah, this!
  15. I'm not really sure - they don't post about mission releases for the thief series much anymore either, so it may just be a lack of the frontpage being updated in general. For example: I think five thief 2 missions were released recently all on the same day as part of an (un)contest and nothing was mentioned on the frontpage - so it may just be lack of time for whoever updates it.
  16. One thing I noticed that I hadn't really seen mentioned (I looked quite a bit) that I determined after replaying all the DM missions released thus far is the quickness of the jumping. I really enjoyed the "float" effect of jumping in thief 1 and 2 - if you don't understand what I mean go back to the older games and taking a running jump.. there is a very smooth arc to your jumps that make you feel much more agile than the "UGH PLUNK" feeling of jumping in TDS and TDM. I think the combination of a better arc to jumping and the incredible mantling mechanics already present in The Dark Mod would help get rid of that "this almost feels perfect but what is it missing?" feeling alot of us Dark Mod fans have at the current stage of it. Apologies if this will be adjusted or addressed in the next version - but I think adding a bit more hang time in jumps (even if it is only a bit) will add alot more old school feel to the way The Dark Mod plays.
  17. I can't tell if you are being sarcastic or not with the eye rolling smiley - but thanks for the info! I really liked the effect and it makes missions feel far bigger than they actually are.
  18. I really enjoyed that the items cost much less - even if you can afford everything in the shop you can still leave items behind to give yourself more or less of a challenge and to make you approach the mission differently. The prices for things in the Thief series never made much sense to me either.
  19. I know this question is rather random and I don't really know where to put it but I figured this is the best place - I was particularly impressed with the immediate city area surrounding the player when they are first dropped into the mission Chalice Of Kings seen here: And I was wondering - was this something the author did by hand and then added to the skybox or whatever its called (I have no idea what the missions non physical surrounding area is called) or is this something that was available in the default assets for The Dark Mod? It looked beautiful, and is probably the most memorable thing about the mission and I was hoping we'd see much more of either that city mockup or similar things in missions - so much better to look at than just a random wall or a blurry skyline. I really dig it.
  20. Really hoping these come out in updated forms as well.
  21. I would also recommend adding a duplicate thread to the ttlg.com forum's fan mission forum as a release announcement for each mission as its posted here - I know there are a ton of folks over there waiting with very high anticipation of new Dark Mod missions that may not even know this forum exists quite yet. Its already been done for the missions released thus far (I think) but for those of you who are making your first mission - this is a great chunk of audience you don't want to miss out on
  22. Really enjoying the atmosphere (as GameDevGoro already mentioned) from those most recent shots. Looks to be coming together very nicely.
