Excellent. On a sidenote: Should I choose a particular accent for the captain ? I wanted to give him this pseudo-Scottish accent, but if you don't need one, that's fine.

Sorry for the delay, I had a busy week in work and had no strength to focus on writing. I hope I will make few texts unrelated to the most questionable parts this week.
I'm focusing more on coherent narrative and believable transitions between plot points, than on accent. I don't have a calm moment to think about it all in big picture, but I have progress lately.

Okay. Tell me when you'll need the recordings and send me the lines once you're satisfied with them. I'll be testing my mic until then and practicing. Want to be sure it doesn't need too much fine tuning.

On Sunday morning, I dreamt a TDM dream. Yes, really. I was inside some city level with nice moody lighting. There were winding streets and regularly shaped courtyards paved with nothing but oversized square stone tiles. One courtyard had something like a chessboard-style arrangement of paving tiles with Roman numerals, and a mechanical contraption to go with it. This was apparently some kind of puzzle, but my dream-self couldn't figure out the specifics.

I'd like to make an Ambients database that lists all the ambient assets currently available in TDM, for mapping purposes. I would like to ask whether it would be all right to use some public sound storage and playback site (e.g. SoundCloud, maybe ?) to upload short samples of these ambients ? As previews for the database overview. Feedback on this idea needed !

I do have some info on the customs assets already offered here on the site and recommended external sites, but those are wholly separate articles, established almost a year ago.

A full Slovak translation (as full as possible right now) for 2.06 is nearly finished. The monastery mission is still being worked on, and I will also make and release a smaller FM before it, for both level building practice and storytelling reasons.

Scratch that (partly). It seems the two official missions will probably have to remain without an l10n pack for the foreseeable future. Pity, but it's not something I can directly influence. :-( However, I plan to do l10n for other missions, with their authors' permissions.

I'm pleased to announce that the remade GUI translation (updated for the current version) I've been working on is completed. Still testing it, but it seems to be as fine as before. I'll be moving on to porting the translation of the two base missions into the game files soon.

Yeah, but I'll only be sending the whole translation for evaluation once I'm 100 % sure I've finished everything from the base game. If that turns out a success, I might move on to translating some of the other missions.

An awful, shameful political crisis in my country. Things have come to a head. However, I hope all these massive revelations will provoke change. The people finally seem encouraged to make a difference. Hopefully, they will. Whenever I won't be foaming at the mouth over the whole sorry situation, I'll keep working on my TDM projects.

Now I'm sad. TheMasterFoundry has cancelled his channel, even though he had some very good TDM content there. His Training Mission playthrough was probably the best, bar none. A pity we've lost those vids.

A rough list of FMs I've completed so far: Exhumed, Lockdown, The Tears of St. Lucia, Lockner Manor, Living Expenses, Mad's Mountain, Rightful Property, The Parcel, Flakebridge Monastery, Rake-off, Too Late, Thief's Den, Chalice of Kings, Siege Shop, Pandora's Box, The Outpost, Trapped !, Thieves, and all of Sotha's FMs exluding The Lich Queen's Demise. I've played a lot of other missions, but regrettably, haven't finished most of them yet.

Working on that monastery mission in March, but got back to it only recently and making some substantial progress. Still at the rough building phase. Will probably make another mission that will get published before the monastery one (due to story reasons). I want to make my missions a continuous story.

I haven't even begun this year's vacation, haha. Too much unfinished work. :-) But now I'm back and as soon as the site completes its necessary maintenance, I'll be visiting a lot more often once again.

To anyone willing to help with a minor but useful voice acting/vocal set-related project: I'd like to upload a 3,5 MB zip to a cloud, but I don't have a dropbox account (and mediafire has become weirdly unreliable for zip downloads). Would anyone be willing to share their storage space for a few weeks ? The zip file contains the player character voice files (grunts, etc.) and I'd like to share the link with VAs I've asked for help with completing the female version of the player character voice files. Just so they could have a point of comparison with the existing voice files, to have a clear idea of what we're aiming for with the female version of that vocal set. Thank you for any help with this, it's a minor thing, but would be incredibly helpful ! Cheers...

Thank you. Open your darkmod folder, find the pk4 file "tdm_sound_vocals01". Make a copy of it into some other folder elsewhere. Rewrite the format manually, from .pk4 to .zip. If that doesn't work, use the converter I provide in the attachment (just put it in the same folder as the copied .pk4 and click it). Once you have that vocals .pk4 copy converted to .zip format, you can upload the zip to your dropbox. Like I said, it's only some 3,5 MB, in both .pk4 and .zip format. Then send me the dropbox link, so I can share it with the VAs. Thanks a ton !

I already wanted to revisit the forums this past autumn and winter, but other stuff kept me busy. Now that I've jumped over to 64-bit TDM on a brand new machine, I also want to revisit my old FM projects and complete a smaller FM.

Btw. in case you come across these 2 pages on the wiki, I modified them quite a bit after you left:

The contents of the Entity database was hidden and therefore no search could be made on it's contents (everything that is hidden does not excist for search and this makes it kind of useless i.m.o.). I restructured it so everything is always visible (with a back to top-index link after each section).

Noticed some heating issues with my GPU this evening. If it repeats and I am forced to have it repaired, I will let you know. I will also attempt to upload the translation files ASAP, just to be sure (in case things could take longer).

It seems to be stable now, so maybe it was just a false alarm. I'll keep you posted if anything changes. Rest assured, what I'm still working on for TDM this month will be made public, either way.

@Petike, regarding your GPU you have a pm. As there will be a few things we can do to fix the overheating issue as long as it isn't h/w failure.

With my workload finally decreasing and having to stay at home far longer than I planned for this spring, I think I'll try to find more time for TDM as well. For the time being, I want to work on those audio projects.

I finally have a concrete idea for my debut mission. Builder monasteries and fish ponds are involved as the backdrop. (Also, my planned protagonist gets introduced, as well as a new TDM-verse town.) Now to iron out the objectives developments and the plot twists to the basic storyline...

Excellent! My advice for new mission authors is always the same: start with a small mission.

Sorry for such a late reply, but yeah, I intend the first mission to be fairly small. A single building complex of monastic Builders, with two or three smaller outdoor areas (a cloister, a herb garden, a larger garden with fish ponds). Nothing bigger. Now that I've gained some experience in DR and I'm gaining editing confidence, I feel more comfortable posting this, as I'll start work on the FM soon. :-)

Ambients database completed. I'll continue to work on the other not yet finished databases and vocal script overviews. We already have a lot more non-tutorial documentation archived than just half a year ago.

Peaceful Easter holidays to everyone. I'll try to organise some sort of a work group for us "messing around with the GUI and .lang files" types. Grayman thinks it's a good idea, so I might give it a shot. At least putting a group together for now, that would be a good start.

I'm doing some major archiving and updating on our wiki and the Thief wiki. It should be completed soon enough. I would also like to ask a question: The author "Digi", who made the TDM FM "Poets and Peasants", is Digital Nightfall from TTLG.com ? Or is he a completely different author ? Thanks in advance.

Digital Nightfall, aka Dan, has been contractually barred from making FMs as long as he's been working for Arkane, so it's very unlikely to be him.

Thank you. This is precisely why I'm asking, as I know he's been working at Arkane for years. I wanted to be sure, without a shadow of a doubt, that it was someone else, with a similar nickname. I know that DN's abbreviated nickname back in his TTLG days was "Digi", so that was the confusing element that created the whole conundrum.

Still working on the vocal sets documentation project. Don't worry. I'll start porting it to the wiki in November. In the meantine, I also have an additional TDM documentation project on the side. Still a lot of work with it, but it's progressing well.
