    My students are pretty happy about Obama's visit to their homeland Burma today ... for the people of Burma. They are less entusiastic about his visit for the government's part.

    The group talking with us about going standalone, New Media Rights, is also talking with us (TDM) about participating in an interview series on gaming & rights. Discussion on that series went to #3 on the Reddit games page today.       I forgot to mention the reason it's getting buzz is because they're interviewing cool people about cool things -- Gabe Newell (Valve), Chris Avellone (Black Isle), the co-founder of IGN, The creator of SpaceChem, etc. We're supposed to be in the queue. We'd be in awesome company!

      I've been working with them, so I think I'll do it -- not that they'd be bad (far from it!), just I think they'll want to talk about what we've worked on, or the issues around it. But I'd want to know what people think are good things we should let them know too.

      I scripted a samurai themed FM (the story of Goemon Ishikawa) ages ago, along with 100 other FM ideas. Too bad I can't do them all, at least not at the same time.

    I had a dream last night where there were a lot of maroon diamond flags on a castle wall. Then I noticed they were all waving *exactly* the same way and in my dream I literally said out "Holy crap! Instancing!" haha

      Ever had a dream where you knew it was a dream while it was going on? That had never happend to me until a wile ago. Its a cool experience because you can do anything you want.

      I had that last week. I was walking down a street and I realised it was a dream. I knew that once the realisation kicked I would quickly wake up. So I decided to run in front of a car. It hit me and I woke up.

    Clever wordplay for the day: My friend noted that Ms. nee Stalin actually died last week, but the papers were Stalin on the obituary (which only got published today). I then gave him high Marx for such a clever bon Mao.

      I spell the color grey with an 'e'.I don't think the word 'colour' looks wrong with the 'u'. Same goes for 'petrol' vs. 'gas'. I cross my 7s and my Zs, but that's more German.For autos, I understand 'boot' and 'lorry' with no problem.
