I'm glad this thread has surfaced again.I'm interested in playing it as I really enjoyed the old Gold missions. I've installed Thief Gold then applied the TX fix. Do I also need to install Thief 2?And where does the fan mission then show up i.e do I need yet another program to run it in?Thanks!

Ah , if Biker's threads were deleted it accounts for why I couldn't find his thread about Skacky's Thief 1 fan missiion.

Got it going very easily using Dragofer's link and it works very well and very smoothly. The mission itself is standard fare but well done. It makes a change to wallow in what I wad playing ten years back though !

Come to think of it it was called TFix 123 is the above the same?

I thought I'd try this. What's the best link for this Newdark thing? I did find a patch that made the old Thief Gold run a few months back without having to make any special adjustments to it but can't remember what it was.

Thanks Melan. demagogue's first paragraph in the post following yours is right.I stupidly thought Cinders End was a block of old houses to loot on the map , not the name of the whole map area. Oh dear !

Thank you so much M & B , very enjoyable. I finished it on easy as is about my usual standard , I'm not much good at these missions sad to say. Never did find and get too the fabled Cinders End to loot the place , managed to grab the barest minimum loot before I had to do that. I did have a go , using the compass , but lost my way and kept on going round and round in boring circles! Can I ask , are they anywhere near the Almsmaster's place? Some sort of clue would be helpful for when I try again.I'm afraid most of you are streets ahead of me in all this if I may make a pun! ?

Lovely mission , beautiful mansion. I felt the ending was a little too easy ,and with my pathetic skill level that's saying something!But then ,I killed you know what early on which changes the story line seemingly reading previous posts.(Forgive me , I can't seem to do spoilers with this tablet so can't give any more details regarding this.) Thank you , I really did enjoy this and will try it again later with the (seemingly ) game changing option.

Thank you Goldwell , very enjoyable. I liked I know I'm hopeless at these missions sadly , but couldn't for the life of me But , as I said , I really really enjoyed it once I got going. Look forward to the next episode.

Great stuff , really enjoying it now I've got into it. Getting crashes as I said before , must be my computer I guess. Just having to make more saves than usual! I'm at Many thanks!

P.s Far on now , very good ! Getting a lot of crashes to desktop though.A few times had to resort to turning computer off.Have not had it before with other missions, not technical enough to go into the whys and wherefores ,surfice to say I'm saving more than usual now ! Especially as I had to go back over a tricky bit one time.

I shouldn't have started this after a long tiring trip , can't get going apart from second (?) floor. Oh dear , maybe try again when less tired perhaps but so far not my sort of mission.

Now finished with the kind help of a couple of hints from Oldjim. Beautifully set out mission , I suspect I made it more difficult than it was with the way I played it and I expected a more killer ending. But lovely to look at and many thanks for making it and giving me a couple or more hours of pleasure.

Glad someone else is the same as me.

When I pick up again I'll have a closer look , did rush it a bit through lack of time before I go away! Thanks again!
