A Dark Mod deathmatch mission would be interesting. Imagine it, you're dropped into an arena and you can spawn different characters via pressing buttons on the wall. They fight each other (and you) There were missions like this for Thief 1 and 2...

I think it doesnt going to work. Because tdm doesnt have network support. And the enemies are not easy to defeat. Try the match event in the trainingsmission.

True. The Thief 1 and 2 guards were too easy to fight once you discovered their weakness. (circle strafe them while pelting them with side swings of the sword, and they don't stand a chance)

I haven't discovered any ways to constantly whoop the TDM AI in a fight. Actually, I did once, but I reported it to Springheel and he fixed it.
