  1. You mad bro? I insulted you because I think you are a fucking troll who just twists what people post and throw it back with no other purpose than to be argumentative, Don't like it, I don't give a fuck! Who asked you, fuck off you cunt.
  2. I replied to chakkman, not StiFu, Whatever, really don't care, forum with so few people is boring as fuck anyways.
  3. Because frankly, a lot of your posts are just sarcastic garbage, that's why. Where did I say it's 'more condemnable, (sic) or notable than executing almost 100 people out of false religious motives' again you just twist the words and post crap.
  4. Oh look, the troll is back, STFU!
  5. On a very serious note, it's disturbing how many people in the world, who claim to be religious, can be so hateful towards people simply because of the music they listen to, I know there are extremists in most religions and HM has been attacked by religion before but a christian pastor said that the Paris terrorist attack victims at the Bataclan were murdered because they were "devil worshipers". Swanson said the attack, which left 89 dead at the concert hall alone, was a "message from God", and he seems to be condoning what the terrorists did all because they were listing to HM, which is a whole new level of hate! These delude individuals often court controversy just to get their face in the media and compassion for their fellow man seems to have no place in their religion, this pastor is obviously a sick, twisted, bitter person so I dedicate this song to him, although I doubt his state of mind will improve any time soon.
  6. Myst, what I consider the first real game that I played, spent hours on a Megadrive playing Road Rash and Echo the dolphin etc, bought a PS1 and first game was Myst and it was a game changer for me with legendary music and sounds, spent a lot of time on Myst games usually because every time you find a door it's bloody locked in typical adventure game style! Tomb Raider 1, played it on PS1 and PC, the 3D was brilliant for it's time and had a huge influence on many 3D action-adventure games that followed, the gameplay, ease of control made it a pleasure to play and the music by Nathan McCree is iconic, so atmospheric that I play the music quite often, the music only played in specially-selected moments for dramatic effect, walking into an enormous underground tomb and the music comes in with the solo oboe the feeling of wonderment and awe was glorious. Medal of Honor: Allied Assault: Omaha beach D-Day landing. Waiting to get off the landing craft was so intense, you could feel the fear and I died many times trying to get up the beach in all the mayhem, you would get behind cover and you just didn't dare move, even with today's graphics I think it would be hard to convey the shear terror of it all any better Crysis, My favourite FPS, I built a new PC to play it and it's a game I often go back to. Skyrim, I've not played many big role playing games but I saw some vids of modded skyrim and was hooked, the vanilla Skyrim isn't brilliant and the game has it's issues but I got into modding it and spent the last two years on it, I also built another new PC so I could play with an ENB mod and get decent FPS,spent way too much time on it. So much time, so much money, so many memories.
  7. Maybe, they did change the music, which is pretty good but I still prefer the original as there was nothing wrong with it Well, I guess you can't blame the devs for taking the path of least resistance but I wonder how long before the release they decided on steam only?
  8. Considering GMDX is such a game changer I'm a bit confused why the devs can release it without steam but the Revision devs seem to have had no choice but steam because of Square Enix influence, or have I missed something?
  9. New Stealth skill tree, very cool, I'm really liking everything I've seen so far in GMDX.
  10. Countdown has begun! This is great news to read, Will GMDX be Steam-exclusive like Deus Ex: Revision? No. GMDX can be used with any Windows-based version of Deus Ex patched to v1112fm (Deus Ex GOTY version has this patch by default). Linux can also run GMDX with WINE. Where can I download GMDX once it is released? Here: http://www.moddb.com/mods/gmdx
  11. I considered reporting the problem but I've read that the devs are not interested unless you are using steam, Honestly, I'm not that bothered, Revision is good and looks pretty but for me it's not a massive game changer, the DE mods I've used before worked well enough and I'm far more interested in the GMDX mod which is released on the 7th December and promises to be a far more game changing mod than Revision.
  12. I've given up with Revision, the game keeps crashing, using GOG game with original version of Revision with clean leaked .exe file, it has been working fine but I need to talk to Gordon Quick near the luminous path compound and when I try and move from the market to the next area of the game the auto save flashes on screen but the next area doesn't load and crashes to desktop with a critical error message box full of text, I can go anywhere else in game no problem. Reinstalled the game and and tried the new patch but still crashes at the same place, anyone else had a similar problem?
  13. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Pt95JqXmxY Darwin awards are given for a reason!
  14. Oh, I'm common alright I'm not talking big money but when I sold a bike for £3,000 and went to pay it into the bank they immediately started 'advising me' to put the money into some long term investment, I wasn't impressed because the interest was very small and you lose money if you want to cash in before the terms and time of the investment are up, so I bought some gold, if I need the cash I can sell the gold and have money in the bank within hours, the banks can piss off with their crap interest rates and conditions and many high street banks are closing in the UK.
  15. I like gold (who doesn't) not bought as an investment to make money as obviously the price can fluctuate but it's very unlikely that the price will drop that much as there is not enough gold produced to flood the market, today it's safer than money in the bank and you can keep it in secure storage without worrying about home security and sell it in minutes over the phone to the dealer you bought it from and you might even make a profit.
  16. Not tried GMDX v7 yet as I've been playing Revision but the changes to the AI in GMDX v8.0 look very impressive, I usually play DE in full stealth mode as much as possible and with the new AI behavior I think that strategy will be vital, guards throwing flares into dark areas, oh crap, RUN!
  17. But that's not good enough, banks should provide the strongest passwords and security available, it's not acceptible that you can have a far stronger password on ebay than a bank can provide, if ebay can do it so can the banks, we now know that HTTPS cannot be trusted to always be secure so any company storing our data needs to do everything possible to keep it secure, the likes of Talk Talk should be prosecuted and shut down for the total contempt they have shown to their customers. It's not just about the bank refunding the money, you have to consider the full implications of having your data stolen from a bank (or anywhere else) when your data is stolen then your identity is cloned and credit cards taken out in your name and you get the bills, some people have even had VAT demands for tens of thousands of pounds because the ID thief has bought gold abroad and imported it without paying the VAT, try working that out with the Inland Revenue, some people have had to sell their homes to pay off the depts or lost their homes because all their savings was stolen and they can't pay the mortgage. A TV program just last night investigated what happens to personal data when scammers get hold of it and they found 1,000s of credit card numbers for sale on the dark web, the TV program contacted some people and most of the cards were still active and the card owners didn't know their data had been stolen, there are probably a lot of companies that get hacked and peoples data is stolen but the companies keep quiet about it, many banks have lost millions to hackers and scammers but won't admit how much yet some banks still don't seem to do enough to protect customer data, that's what has really pissed me off, how would you feel if you lost everything because of hackers getting your data from your bank because the banks security was weak, it's about far more than a bank refunding money.
  18. Really, so it's not important that when you buy something online even though it's got the padlock and says 'HTTPS' that you could actually have just given all your data to a scammer site, these two indications of security are all we have online but they are pointless if they cannot be trusted. I now use a VPN when buying anything online, it's not to mask my IP it's to use the 2048bit encryption, some sites don't like it and won't allow the transaction but they can piss off and I'll buy elsewhere, incidentally, I recently changed my online banking password and discovered that the password can only be a maximum of 16 numerals and letters but my ebay password can up to 62 ASCII characters, I asked the bank why I can have a much stronger password on ebay than I can with my bank account and all they said was that if I suffer any loses through fraud and it's not my fault I will be reimbursed, maybe the bank considers that it's security is too good to be hacked but that arrogance has cost many banks a lot of money and it just seems stupid and lazy on the banks behalf that their site does not allow better passwords, as a customer I want the strongest possible password options, so if my data is hacked it will take a super computer a few years to decrypt, therefore, realistically making it useless, it's so damn obvious that a 62 ASCII character password is far stronger than a basic 16 letter and numeral password but some banks are still ignoring these simple facts.
  19. HTTPS does seem next to useless, not long ago there was the Heartbleed bug and Symantec are not the only company, it's quite disturbing that such a basic level of online security (HTTPS) is so vulnerable. I was amazed when the Hearbleed bug became public knowledge as it turns out that the encryption and protocols (OpenSSL) used on servers running Apache and nginx which are used on approx 66% of web servers is an open source project managed by a worldwide community of volunteers, WTF! No disrespect to the people working on the project but I would have expected there to be a serious organization behind something as important as web security, considering there are industry standards for the likes of USB. What was also rather sinister when the Hearbleed bug became public, the security services, NSA, GCHQ, had known about the vulnerabilities for years but never told the general public and they may have actually used the exploits themselves, yet the security services tell us that they need to use mass surveillance as one of their main priorities is to protect us from cyber crime! The internet becomes more depressing by the day and I become more confused, now I read that Amazon, the original online book seller, are to open a real high street book shop, might as well bin your Kindle, seems it was just another fad.
  20. I have no intention of updating windows to 10, Win 7 desktop for gaming, I don't game online, a cheap laptop with Linux Mint for online, I have no need to use windows online, most people don't need windows just for simple surfing and social media, but that's another matter altogether.
  21. You could be right, unfortunately, it's not possible to determine which searches incurred a penalty but I have had a perfect play through (no alerts at all) up until the chapel and then as you say the AI becomes hyper sensitive and silently extinguishing a candle brings the guards running from the other end of the chapel!
  22. Well I started this thread after watching a few videos that considered Thief 2014 an average game with some flaws but it was worth playing, I realise now that if I had watched this video by Gopher it would have answered all my concerns, if you don't know Gopher he is a very well respected modder who has made many mods and been involved as a team modder for some essential mods for Skyrim like Skyrim Script Extender (SKSE) Gopher has also made a lot of excellent game play videos and modding tutorials, I have watched literally 100's of his videos and I learnt a lot about modding from him, so he knows what he's talking about and his opinions are not influenced by sponsors, etc, Gopher is not known for being overly dramatic or ranting so when he reviewed Thief 2014 after starting to make a play through and giving up, it was a sure sign that the game had some serious issues, I've never heard him so exasperated!
  23. Thanks for your explanation, I wasn't criticizing your video I was just confused as to why when you did the same thing as me I seemed to get points but you didn't? My main issue was that searches, when a hammer is raised and the guard looks for you, didn't incur you any points but they did for me, such as when you say 'you loot items visible on the guards patrol route and incites a search' another guard also comes running with weapon drawn, but you didn't get any points for this search, why not, it's a search? The alert levels state that a level 3 search incurs 2 points, a level 4 search when the guard runs and draws weapon incurs 3 points, both these searches happen on your play through but no points are incurred, that's what has confused me
  24. Thanks MS, they'll believe it, most of them are so stupid they just click 'Allow' anyway, keep the 'updates' coming, there are still a few smart asses who won't upgrade but we''ll get them Regards GCHQ/NSA.
  25. I don't recall having any real issues with the sound in The Dark Project, there are similar ambient droning sounds but they didn't hit the frequencies that aggravate my hearing, I'm now playing the 'Party' level in Thief-2 and so far in the game I've not heard anymore annoying sounds which is good.
