On the team page, Dram's link is a parked domain. You could change it to a new site, archive.org link, or just remove it.

Wouldn't a snap to grid option take care of some of the shakiness inherent in VR control?
And it could be pretty precise if your hand movements are recorded... pretty precisely.
-
...And I read it initially that "Google blocks (as in "bans") 3D modelers," and thought what the hell, and then got curious how will they do that. XD

Same here

i guess the platform will be flooded with asset flippers.

Be like a large dark hole to useless content. Like opening a plug somewhere and having all the useless stuff get sucked in.

So basically Steam Greenlight for mods

Is it just me or does the TDM Forums favicon look whack?

Yes I was annoyed by that, too!
-
Glad I wasn't the only one noticing that.
-
Will drop Taaaki a message.

I tried to get my father to play TDM once, but he was not good at using the mouse+keyboard effectively to control a first-person view. I wonder if Oculus Rift could change that for some players.
-
What are the implications of high dynamic range monitors and TDM?

This is why I mentioned it: http://tinyurl.com/qaf63tc HDR section at bottom of the article

Wow, 30-bit (10 per channel) floating point color output to displays eh? Still would require some engine revamping for sure (for any engine that intends to use it).
-
You'll notice that 10-bit per channel color has gained popularity as Main 10 profile of H.265 adds it. It was in the High 10 Profile of H.264 and not intended for consumers. 10-bit can lower filesize and it seems to be popular among anime sub groups (early adopters?)

If you dig around enough into GPU history, you'll see that there have been various attempts to use system memory as a second tier and VRAM as cache. The latest being "partially resident textures" (AKA DX's version of Megatexture). These ideas would work but would also knock out one of the advantages of a GPU vs a CPU. Thus, after a moment of relapse, GPU vendors are once again trying to stuff as much VRAM on their cards as possible. Lest big bad Intel eat their lunch. Maybe so...
-
they're adding more VRAM to future proof against 4K and higher resolutions. They'll also be able to pack more VRAM in less space on with high bandwidth memory: http://www.anandtech.com/show/9266/amd-hbm-deep-dive especially HBM2 which is when NVIDIA will throw in.
-
Should probably make a thread if there's more to say.

$859,056. Should have gone high enough for the editor, but good enuff.

@Melan they will continue crowd funding on their website via paypal and it will count towards their current goals

so it might still be achievable in time

Xarg, doing CUDA on one card while doing other stuff on another is no problem. No need for DX12 here.
-
Fair enough, I haven't touched CUDA, nor owned an NVidia GPU since the 8600gt, the only possibility this GPU linking offers me that'd I'd be interested in is the PhysX stuff. Didn't AMD make some alternative version of PhysX for their platform?
-
I was interested in that as well, so I googled and found this:
However, much more important is that I also found, that nvidia prevents PhysX-computation if a card from another manufacturer is installed. (Only have a German publication for that)

2 GB is extremely lame at that price at this point. Even an older 750TI features 2 GB and it is much cheaper than this.
-
Oh, I'm sure there are cheaper cards with more RAM but how many cores do they have? This card will smoke a 750ti guaranteed. Chances are, 3rd party cards will have more than 2gb too
