  1. Personally, I support pizza existing. The people of this city live miserable lives, they deserve some happiness.
  2. So long as things are treated with respect. I wouldn't use the name Wendigo for something like a zombie, for example. The Wendigo is a much greater and more frightening being - you could probably get a whole mission out of trying to avoid the Wendigo's influence or people who have been affected by it, come to think of it.
  3. Man I've been gone for a while. Gaming computer died. This is the first mission I'm playing on my new computer (aside from the training mission) and it's so lovely. The atmosphere is great. ("Hm, will I regret taking this conspicuous red stone? yES I WILL REGRET TAKING THAT CONSPICUOUS RED STONE." ("Hm, will I regret exploring this room that has furniture overturned? yES I WILL REGRET EXPLORING THAT ROOM or at least shooting that arrow.") I'm not finished yet - I'm mostly crawling around in vents being delighted that I can explore areas adjoining the target area - but it's a great way to return to playing TDM.

  5. Maybe if the basket is covered. The openings in the ironwork would keep air circulating otherwise. Buckets, deep bowls? Thick heavy cloth could maybe work, especially if wet, if there's a handy item to serve.
  6. Grammar check: "run well" or "run properly" instead of "run good".
  7. I see ... it sounds like you didn't mean for the lower half of the gate to be passable, like a hole in the wall. Just an glitch, I guess.
  8. I found what was in the graveyard and I get why the graveyard was accessible, but the gate was still weird. Why not a pickable locked gate?
  9. Good good stuff. I wouldn't have expected this to be your first FM. I couldn't find the ingredients for the ritual, and decided to leave it alone for this first playthrough. Then I read the spoilers here, remembered things I'd read and seen, and went "ohhh. oHHHH" The ritual bit was interesting, I'll try it when I play again. The graveyard gate was odd. Not frobbable when standing, and a solid object. Not frobbable when crouching, but the lower bars were apparently ethereal.
  10. Thank you for the hard work, all! I haven't played lately, but I'm excited about trying this new version out.
  11. That looks very HG Wells, I am curious.
  12. Oh yeah, "reverse mantling" would be reverse mantling off of all drops, I wasn't thinking that far. It as just the closest description I thought of. Is that doable? Like if the water is close enough to the drop, like a body-length or somethin, you get a smaller splash and much quieter noise. A splish. A plop. The splash it makes now gives me a recurring mental image of my master thieves getting to the edge of the water, screwing their eyes shut, holding their noses, and jumping in. I don't want to ask for a forced action though.
  13. Is there a way to get into water more quietly? It could just be clumsiness on my part but I tend to make a racket like I jumped in with both feet even in shallow water. My kingdom for like reverse mantling.
  14. Maybe if they fled after - a delayed reaction. You leave, they unfreeze after a short time and run for the guard. Time it right and the guard is at the far end of their patrol, or you've had time to sneak around and can now slip through a door the guard was watching.
  15. Thanks, Cambridge Spy. Convinced me to give it a try.
