  1. Good point about the surfaces. In Alien Isolation the player makes a sound similar to the leather and coin bag I described when you move the mouse too quickly while turning around.
  2. The point is basically the same as the light meter, to make the player constantly self conscious of the noise he's making. That's why I used This War of Mine as example cause is something you have to play to get the feel of the concept. It doesn't need to add clutter, it can be as simple as this: A side meter flickering from green to red: Same as the light meter, the player has visual cue when hes standing in light or shadow and the AI also reacts to it just as noise. So it's just about making the player self conscious about it all the time.
  3. Add movement sounds to the player when walking as well when turning around, more in tune with modern games: A mix of leather and coins inside a bag could work well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1B8ruB28zZA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dTn8APYdicM
  4. Enhancing the light gem to capture sounds made by the player by adding some sort of ripple effect to show the amount of sound the player is making: A sound detector could rally add to the game-play since the player will now be aware of his own sounds making it the active element while lighting remains as a static element. This concept was used in the game This War of Mine and made the game play so satisfying and of nerve wracking at the same time:
  5. Oh now I get it. Thanks nbohr1more, gonna try it now.
  6. How do I download the Special Mirror Text file? I clicked on the link and there's an address to another link but it Forbidden. I'm lost.
  7. Bikerdude already pointed out there's a creature which resembles something quite similar of what you're looking for. Check out Kingsal's Cauldron of the Gods.
  8. Wow Goldwell, this mission is a home run to me! Really enjoyed it. The attention to detail is pretty high with overall great lighting, sound, music and gameplay. The combination of lighting and sound made it a very immersive experience. You really covered all the bases and you can tell this was a well thought work. What I find most interesting is that compared to other missions, this was one of the most lineal, kind of on rails but at the same time it didn't feel like it was. Makes me think that sometimes lineal, with more events and game play elements in it fits quite well in TDM. So it was a refreshing change. My one and only complaint is the level of lighting in the sewers is not at the level of the rest of the map. The light fixtures are too dim. I play with my brightness level low so I notice those details more often and it was basically pitch black so it gave the impression of being the rushed area. Overall great mission which covers all bases pretty well with excellent, sound, music, lighting and gameplay. I only found 2 secrets tho.
  9. I think this is a good thing and perhaps the strongest point of the mission as the mission itself begs replayability. I also missed tons of content in my first run and though there was only one statue. It gives many excuses to play again and should be replicated by others.
  10. Anyone playing Divinity 2? Thoughts? It's getting very good reviews. The first one was disappointing for me.
  11. They should at least give them credit for trying to make something new out of the box. Made it seem like it was all negative for them.
  12. ING gave them a Fatality with this: https://youtu.be/8Q6_uyVMB84 I'll be high on Xanax if I where one of the developers.
  13. 815/1942 and only 2 Secrets. Overall the Mission is pretty amazing with some beautiful and intricate details to look at, both in the city area, the ruins and caverns. I enjoyed all the new elements added to the mission and I got scared the most with the one thing that couldn't hurt me at all. I do agree with the poster saying some of the mushrooms were too bright and I say in some areas, cause in others they're perfectly lighted but in others they kind of obstruct some potential hiding places and also diminish that blueish moon/ambient light in specific parts of the caverns. Those pics posted don't do much justice to the atmosphere this mission brings and reminded me of Skyrim in a good way. Kinsal maintains his high level of quality and goes even further adding new and fresh elements to the game. I felt like this missions gave many hints for a third episode or was I missing something?
  14. It is a sign we need to start moving into solar energy. But the dumb ass Governor is all about oil and making money. Tesla was offering to help via energizing a whole municipality but he was like "Thanks we'll call you". And now he's talking about Natural Gas. Puerto Rico is a bit complicated to energize since our landscape is pretty diverse and we also have two smaller Islands with people living there as well.
  15. Yay! Finally got some Wifi! Can't deny I got a bit emotional seeing this post and the fact you guys had me in your thoughts got me a bit teary eyed. Fortunately I live in the Metro Area and my house is made of armed concrete so I basically build a mini fortress around it before the hurricanes hit my area. nothing much happened to my property other than some broken windows and doors. Now I can now say I survived 4 Hurricanes so far. Global warming is no joke. Those last Hurricanes felt like an exaggeration, like a Jet engine in your face or a non stop F5 Tornado. Movie like scary stuff. The aftermath looked like a Fallout game.
  16. PM me the text files In English and the Spanish one with what's done with the Google Translator.
