i rather have a error message instead of being forced to use ALT-F4, probably i am new and dont understand the underlaying needs off that version number stuck inside a game save. its not like a gigaviewer for zx in z80 , aint it ?? i get the message but i dont .... -

Hi i cant load my save games after the update to version 1.2. there is no error message, after starting the init the bar stays at 0, nothing happens at all. i have to quit with ctrl-F4 i can make new ones which do load... -
its probably the very short answer you gave? i am not used to be pushed away like that if i ask some? i am a different person then you, dont conclude i have the same aproach as you, gaming or not. i ASKED something, may i request a MORE serious answer off an admin ?

that would be an easy and workable solution.

yes indeed, i am in need off it apperently. Is there such a big difference between the quick and menu saves? Even if the quick is in fact a snapshot the variables have to be equal and i guess 99% is equal anyway, its a big bunch off data and variables and maybe a screenshot to start with??? I program some z80 myself, thats all small environment and i never could coop with any joystick, for me thats slower. well "save your last dance change for me" please.
-
repeating the problem aint a solution my question is can you MAKE the last save being loaded as default instead that childish "quick is quick" since they both saves must contain the same type off data ... and with "saving system" i mean the code as a system , like in the original meaning off system instead off OS i would rather say this tread should be in TDM Tech Support Troubles running TDM, Missions or DarkRadiant? Found a bug? Discussion about technical issues and possible bugs go here, please. and its realy annoying if you are in the MIDDLE OFF ACTION that you have to go to the save/load menu while having all your fingers touching any key needed ... o, get it now, you are a kid with a joystick!! thats why you dont bother if people say its stupid, well, give me a choise to be so? then YOU can have that annoying loot loss and i can set a default for "save that last and USE that last SAVE" its called SAVE ??? thinking Queen now
-
Hello yesterday i realised that the saving system as used now leads to loot losses i realized that when i found a small golden can for the 3rd time... I use Quick Save and Quick Load a lot, but if you save with a name you have to go to the save menu. reversed that is unfortunately equal. the saves with a name are NOT loaded with quick load... meaning that if i continue after a names save, fail a task, press quick load then my golden can WONT be loaded even while i EXPLICITLY saved that after the second find ...... could you PLEASE stop this annoying process of makeing double effort ?? its nice to have the Quick save, but it breaks the game for real that the quick load cannot load the LAST SAVE .... very annoying and very pitty and not needed at all. hope its very simple to implement. cheers.

DarkRadiant 3.4.0 released
CrisiusXIII replied to greebo's topic in DarkRadiant Feedback and Development
I could not install libjpeg8 libjpeg8-dev but debian_lxde found and took libjpeg6-turbo plus .dev there are some path problems and i asume the next path should be filled in automaticly which is attempted a least 9 times while darkradiant is opened Auto-saving registry to user settings path. XMLRegistry: Failed to save path /darkradiant/user/ui/colourschemes the install uses capitals as a difference ? DarkRadiant instead of darkradiant. the map 'user' as mentioned here does not exist either. i can make them, no problem, but what does DR expects ?? -

make complains (debian10)
CrisiusXIII replied to CrisiusXIII's topic in DarkRadiant Feedback and Development
Thanks for your effort. I think i missed a very big thing on my side off the issue. my debian is the LXDE version, but thats hardly mentioned by the system!!! its the lightweigth version so maybe they slimmed down the routine itself and other simplifings. -
Fan Mission: By Any Other Name by joebarnin (2022/3/10)
CrisiusXIII replied to joebarnin's topic in Fan Missions
with some other problems in mind its probably my system. May i request a different solution? Its a conformation dot on the tile if you stand inside the correct area. Like small and green. what ever tile you stand on so its clear that you are ON the tile. After 5 ticks it will ligth up if its the correct one. The system has to check the position anyway. a position-point would be of a big help to me. EDIT i just went trough!! i can juggle now. To simplify my request, a shadow or dot where you stand is enough and i am sure it will be off a help. Thankks!! -

CrisiusXIII replied to CrisiusXIII's topic in DarkRadiant Feedback and Development
hi my deb10 has no libwxgtku3.0 at all its libwxgtk3.0-dev with out the U are you sure its a debian file and not an ubuntu file? I should upgrade deb10 to deb12 anyway, since deb10 is not he strongest version off debian afa understood. the strength off linux is the same as its weakness, its the enormous amount off variations and possibilities... its a chuwinggum stretched in impossible forms. meanwhile ubuntu is based on debian BUT by now debian is hanging on the back off that same ubuntu , that makes it more difficult -

hi, make is at 31% thank you this might take another 20 minutes and then the install it self tomorrow we know for sure and it feels good. i have a simple start idear with just a single room. maybe a type off escape room. talking waybefore i have everdone some, i would like to take a eye with red or green ligth and turn it in a laser detection on the floor. i guess its reducing the surface off the ligth into a very small spot , then you have to use a gas arrow to enlight that laser with smoke reflexion. but i realy never done anything like 3d at all. even blender complains about me that i start but never finish anything. 46% and counting thanks! -

btw, is it possible to have a kind off afterglow with the correct tiles when failing? then its more clear what went wrong. the 3D changings are a bit difficult aswell since the tiles close to the door are rather small before aproaching. i dont know how to make a gameplay, is that a function or should i install a desktop-recorder ??
