Gah! My new graphics card came with a coupon that gives a free game. Of course it has to be redeemed, right. The requirement to get the game was to use shop.ubi.com and install something called Uplay. Yugh. What a piece of shit. I feel dirty and filthy.

Gather round boys and girls and I'll tell you of a time when hardware came with games on a disk, in the box! It was so amazing because you were able to start playing in <5 minutes! Sadly, it was not meant to be.

Well, back then, we had expansion packs for games. The ones that were good and contained enough new content were successful, like Opposing Force. HL must be one of the most modded games of all time, and they still had successful expansion packs.

Why would Epic want to restrict access to editors for games that use their tech? If anything, the more people modding on their engine, the better for them. They also have the free UDK.

playing Team Fortress Classic; Gaining the trust of players on the other team while dressed as one of them, then betraying them when they least expect it! I remember causing so much trouble that the members of the other team began attacking eachother because they were unable to find the spy. I never laughed so hard since.

Does anyone know a good introduction for arb assembler language? I've googled around a lot and did not found anything useful.

Something in TDM that is still weird is the water refraction effect. Stand near water with posts that stick out. Sometimes the posts which are clearly not in the water will refract anyway. If you get into ARB, can you fix this?

I'm glad to say that the exploit where you run back while a guard charges you with his weapon and you can get out of the way has been fixed! Very well done guys, it is just right! (While the above is true, "run back" doesn't feel crippled.)

After being able to FINALLY experience TDM in the way it's meant to (high resolution with 16x AA and AF) and having a constant 60+ FPS... WOW I just have to say this game is so freakin' beautiful! and amazing! It's like a different game at these settings

Don't you hate it when you go to read a technical discussion, but the comments are full of sheeple saying "My OS of choice is WAY more secure than yours!!11one". If I had the ability, I would BAN all of these people...

I've got the next two weeks off for my Xmas holidays so I've decided to attempt a speed build. I'm going to try and build a haunted manor FM over a twe week period. As the manor consists of 10 rooms and I'll be using the modular building technique, this should not be too difficult. I'll be taking inspiration from The Cradle and Rose Cottage
