  1. Well, now I have a tip about The Keepers... finally a little (or more) info on them! And now I have another possibility to fulfill my Paramour... Dr. Chakwas I tried, but that isn't in the system, apparently; Jack was and still is interesting, but I've been warned off of her and she is STILL a little too vengeful, despite plenty of what I'd hoped would be time and whatnot to progress otherwise; So now I shall probably persue the one they ObviOusly want me to. She's even more Blatantly 'outfitted' than the other 2 they want me to try...
  2. It's the 2nd one; unless the 1st one is more likely to fit whatever it takes to get you to feel good about (and complete) your FM... then it's surely the 1st one. IOW, everyone is going to vote the way they vote for reasons of their own. Best thing, if you really want to win, is to make a good (or great) mission. Me? I'm going to vote on how good the mission is. If it happens that I can't decide I bewteen a couple of mission I will give a nod to the cleverest use of 'Season-ing'... I think that if you have a good time making the mission -- and by that I mean you aren't rushed, constrained, overwhelmed, trying to hard to win, defenestrating... -- then you'll do great.
  3. The only "shame" is that he's wasting his efforts on that run-down old clunker, T2. It would play a hell of a lot better and look a hell of a lot better if it were being made for TDM.
  4. The G-spot is the pathway to the Big O
  5. And this is above and beyond the genius of the underlying functionality to begin with. A huge success.
  6. Well, I wasn't the one who started the getting off topic (AAMOF, I went out of my way not to post in here even the slightest bit ofopnion -- wanting to leave this to be a "yes, I'm in" or"maybe, I'm in"thread)... But, all that aside, it got off... and then I went off. And over the top. For that I'm sorry. No, no... I take back the "fuck the contest"; I just would hope that it only fosters many FMs whilst not hindering any along the way.
  7. Fuck the contest ... just make missions. If the concept of a contest is going to devolve into people putting things off, or delaying, or hurrying, or limiting FMs in anyway whatsoever it has become antithesis... an abomination... anathema... XAFM.
  8. Well, I'm into ME2 aways. The plot, or at least one big "reveal" to come, I think, may be pretty hugely telegraphed. But that's okay (and I may be wrong). I've only once felt that I was given little choice when I really wanted to do something completely different*; which is impressive and continues to bode well for the future of gaming. The authors working in this difficult medium are becoming experts! There have been a few more highly irritating gameplay/control issues, but they are eventually adapted to... and once that is done it becomes as much fun as it ought to be considering the overall design intention(s). I still have my personal favorite story-line (The Keepers) to hear more about -- no lost "Lost" BS here so far. *I think I will just shoot the MF and see what happens... though it seems to be something that might be entirely unmanageable for the story, maybe there is a plotline-contingency that will kick in?... I'll give it a shot. His head.
  9. Isn't stgatilov working on the savegame system? Removing the junk and compressing what's left? Maybe that's something to do with it? (I hope so, because it means he is still working on it)
  10. OMG Well that's great all you needed to do in the end was run a batch file to build an exe that would then enable you to build a static library if you simply ran the exe you built using the batch file under a special command prompt built for an environment of a separate compiler/linker. SINAFNTBS.
  11. My punctuation is as flawless as it is deliberate. ... The rest, as it is with our friend Shadowhide, but in a different sense, is open to interpretation. The general gist is usually as you, I hope to trust, perceive it. ... We are all ciphers. Every time I see your name I wonder what the "i" stands for... There is no "I" in team. There is no "I" in STFU. There is an "i" in "cipher", though it ought to be a "y". Y U Ask? ... More, importantly: 3 already ~in~ in the contest. A very good start.
  12. Is it possible to leave the initial choice of default classicism or classic defaultics to the TDM team, and, then, hierarchically, following a a pattern of allowing a choice to fall, then, into, the hands (or what might be regarded as the minds) of FMAs; only to, then, allow the player to, then, possibly-maybe (tm/cr/bg) attune themselves, or rather their playing experience, perhaps, to, and with an easily adjustable or otherwise selectable, menu, cfg, registry tweak selection process in which they finally, but not entirely, somehow ultimately have control beyond the preferred preferences of said others up the hierarchy as it may be beheld? Surely this must be considered?
  13. Well, I did say I was only having a little fun with y'all (and wasn't comparing your output, or the significance of it, so much as your all-too-evident need to pursue this avocation). ... Anyway, I hope that your RL stuff is "unfortunate" only in that it takes you away from exercising your talent as a FMA. I hope that whatever it is isn't serious in a dire sense.
  14. Seedboxes... So cool. But now we have another conflict in tech-speak!
  15. Okay, took the newest gamex86.dll there for a test-drive. A quicker look (spent about 30-45 minutes stirring things up and standing back and watching) and I'd say maybe a little less confusion. but still some. In particular I'll mention an archer seemed to have to be pushed out of the way as he never got out of the way. I found a dead guy who I didn't kill. I can't say where (well I could but that would involve spoilers and such as I'm doing this with Fidcal's alpha-phase mission)... Anyway, this guy is one of those who never should have been excited to begin with (a far-out-alerted)... I think things are certainly ready for 1.04, as far as these enhancements go, and then see how the broader community experiences them. But, again, I think that resolving the mass hysteria thing is a must. If you can try and get that fixed for 1.04 it'll certainly help everything. Ha. You're as easy as Sotha... with his "I'm going to take some time off" every time he finishes a FM. You know that Persistence Problem is your baby. You're ready for it. You need it resolved. You were made for it. All in fun (with the both of you guys).
  16. Very very nice FieldMedic! Thanks for the shots and the ETA. I know you want to keep this thing under wraps, and that's great, IMNHO, as far as plot and pix go... but do, please, keep us updated on the progress.
  17. Butterflies and Zebras! Half-way there... on both counts. Wow. There are all kinds of things yet to be discovered in TDM. I was sorta joking around there; though I would seriously love to see some insects and such. I'd think this would possibly be plenty cool enough as long as the flight is sufficiently and tweakedly 3D (moving in the x, the y and the z; but less so in the x). Would it be possible to have it not bother with collisions? And only pay attention to extents? These are just meant to be (IMNHO) just fluttering little tiny beasties. ... Now if you were to really go for a proper flying/roosting, colliding/substantial beast, it's got to be a raven/crow/TDMWorldFacsimileOfSuch...
  18. Yes, even with all the activity, I had a decent experience FPS-wise too. Of course, flying about (no-clipping) in such full-featured environs is a real limits tester, so I had some lags (and even a crash) but not due to these enhancements, I'm sure. VP bursting or summat. ... What I wanted to mention, as I was reminded by the quote above, is a little side-note (maybe this is common knowledge but it was a first for me {not being a console diver much before}): if you turn on noclip while in the water? You move very very very slow. ... I'm thinking all this experience with the code-base will serve you well (and by extension, of course, the community) in your venture into The Persistence Problem.
