  1. OK but what do I do with the main body of text? At the moment I have three. How do I separate them into three different parts yet still put them in one gui file? TBH most of that went over my head. Here's a link to my three briefing gui files: http://www.mediafire.com/download/umv0ahqm3r1awsq/VFAT+Briefings.zip If someone can put them into one gui file so it works as a three part campaign I would be extremely grateful.
  2. It seems a bit too technical for me. I'll just release them as three individual PK4s in a Zip file. I can't see a problem with that. Wasn't that how NHAT was originally done?
  3. How do I set this up? I currently have three individual timed flow briefings set up for three indivudual FMs that make up a campaign. The story is written so that it changes and progresses throughout each FM so each FM needs it's own indivdual briefing before it starts so that the players understand what's going on. If this is not possible then I suppose I can just release release all three FMS as individual PK4s in a Zip file and number then in order of sequence and the player can just install them as individual FMs. Due to objectives and time gaps between the FMs no equipment gets carried over from level to level so I see no reason to link them as part of a campaign apart from it's a little more tidy.
  4. I love my new delay pedal! I have a glass of wine, dim the lights at night, play some jazz or the blues and fade into the night. Pure bliss :)

It is tempting to see the map early but I would rather wait for a polished and finished version, thanks though!

No probs! Shackles re-attached but glass of wine and guitar plugged into delay are in hand :)

      Good juggler, are you?

  5. It very well could be a performance issue as that area was taking a huge hit. I've tweaked it to be re-relased as part of a a three part campaign. It's now hitting 50-60 fps where as before it was hitting 30fps.
  6. I see what I've done. I've accidentally used mobile readables instead of immobile. Wouldn't it just be easier to change the classname from mobile to immobile?
  7. Can someone tell me what spawnarg I give to readables so the player can't pick them up? They can only frob them to read them. Thanks.
  8. I can laugh about it now so no probs. There wasn't much laughter at the time tho
  9. I spent Xmas 1999 getting dumped by my girlfriend and getting attacked by a prostitute. I was working as a barman earlier in the year and I started dating a regular uni student at the time. When she finished uni she went back home which was up in Yorkshire. I didn't have much going for me at the time so I went up North with her to live with her and her mum. After a few weeks I got me a job in a call center and a room in a house share. I didn't know at the time that it was in a red light district. I went out one night and all the ladies were smiling at me. I thought to myself "damn! I must be looking good" and then something clicked. On Xmas day I was supposed to spend it with my girlfriends family and her mum was supposed to pick me up with her car. After waiting for half an hour I got a text from my girlfriend telling me that she never wanted to see me again. Assuming that I would be spending Xmas day at my girlfriends mums, I had no food in my fridge and all the shops were closed. So at 6pm I went to my local pub to drown my sorrows and bought two packets of cheese and onion crisps (my Xmas dinner). On the way home a prostitute asked me for business. I'm not into that sort of thing so I ignored her. The next thing I knew she jumped on my back and had mew in a choke hold screaming "Don't ignore me you bastard!". I turned around so my back was facing a wall and jumped backwards so I sandwiched the prostitute between my back the wall. We both hit the ground and she released her hold. I got up and ran home. When I got to my front door I released that I left my cheese and onion crisps on the floor with the prostitute. I decided that it wasn't worth going back so I just crawled into bed with the lights off and just wished the horrible day to end. Every Xmas day in comparison has been awesome!
  10. This is regularly happening every 10 - 15 minutes during a DR session. I'm saving like crazy but even loosing small amounts of work and having regular crashes slow me down is quite demotivating. Here is the error screen I get when it happens. I do get options but whatever one I click DR will still crash and I will loose any unsaved work. Any ideas how to fix this? Thank you.
  11. Finished updating The Art of Revenge. It now has a fully explorable town house. Before... After... This three part campaign with a brand new installment (The Angel's Tear) is pretty much done now. Beta testing will likely start very early in the new year. I look forward to the abuse
  12. Well it seems like path finding issues make sense but I've had these problems in the past. When I've had path finding issues in the past, TDM just didn't create the aas. file while compiling the map, it never crashed on me. Also the area that the spiders were in was a very big corridor. There's just a few pipes and wooden beams, nothing to cause path finding issues. I'll see what I can do over the weekend. I might take Steve up on his offer with debugging. It's just a simple underground corridor that takes the player from A to B. If it has spiders in it or not it's not really a major issue.
  13. Sure it's art. I don't see how this is any different than panting a picture but instead of using paint and paper your clicking on points of a grid.
  14. I just deleted the very last thing I did in my map which was add spiders and the map compiles fine now but spiders shouldn't be causing this. I can't remember the name of the spider AI as I've saved my map with the spiders deleted but I think I used the last two that show up in the entity list. I'm assuming it's just one of the spider AIs as I've seen spiders used in other maps before I'll see if I can get the map to compile with spiders in it at the weekend. If I can work out which one was causing TDM to crash I'll post it here.
  15. @ capela: You did some nice screen shots a few months back and then disappeared. I thought that maybe you gave up which was a shame as you showed so much promise. please stick with it as your screens show that you have an ability for creating art in DR.
  16. @ Capela: I love the harbor theme you have going on. But your windows need to be pulled in so they are not level with the walls, have a wooden frame around them or both. Also the ambient world light seems way too bright to me. I'd tone it down a bit and give your in game lights a chance to shine as they would naturally.
  17. Bloody typical! I post a couple of nice screenshots and Bikerdude or Moonbo posts some screens that blow my stuff right out of the water! I'm just kidding. That's awesome stuff as usual. Your work is always an inspiration to me.
  18. I am currently populating the previous Vengeance maps with a few new areas so I can justify re-packaging them into a new campaign. I've furnished the inside of the cathedral from A Pawn in the Game. As a regular of the Whitby Gothic Weekend I used the ruins of the Whitby Abbey as inspiration. Somewhat of an attempt to restore it to it's to it's former glory.
  19. This just started last night. I've treid uninstalling and re-installing DR and I've run a disk check as well. I currently get this error message during the loading process "An unhandled exception occured". Any ideas? Thank you.
