  1. I didn't want to necro the thread before for no reason, but it's recent now. So I just want to say I'm really looking forward to this, and I love that you're still putting time into it! OpenXR seems to be the way to go, so I'm sorry to hear it's a PITA. But I hope it'll all be worth it in the end!
  2. I'm still hoping that, one day, we'll get Rift support for TDM. Games running on OpenGL instead of Direc3D make me sad nowadays! (Can't use injectors)
  3. I haven't touched TDM since 2010, but I'm elated to see this release! Great excuse to dive back in. Is there a torrent available for 2.0 files? The updater is struggling to hit 11kb/s right now. Edit: it actually looks like half of the mirrors are handling it well and half are handling it... not so well. fidcal.com is not happy right now.
  4. - WinXP, SP3- Pentium 4, 3.4ghz single core- 2gb RAM- Nvidia GeForce 6800 256mb- 8/17/2009 Nvidia drivers update (190.62 I think?)Running at 1024x768, framerate is stable after bloom is turned off. Haven't encountered any issues. I really need to upgrade...
  5. Just finished the training mission... Brilliant work, guys. It's as good as I hoped it would be, and it can only get better from here. Looking forward to playing through my first mission in TDM soon. I'll be sure to leave more detailed feedback once I've played it a bit more, but for now I'm very happy!
  6. Tch. Couldn't pay me enough.

  7. Sounds like you guys are making great progress. I know there's always all sorts of work going on behind the scenes, but it's still nice to be reminded. The video is impressive; I don't think I've seen a game simulate cloud cover shadows like that before. The combat system sounds good too. Just another step towards what's looking to possibly be the best damn stealth game (engine) out there!
  8. I only played Thievery a few times way back when... I remember hating it due to the deathmatch-style game it seemed to be just about all the time. Maybe I just picked bad servers? In any case, I hadn't heard of this yet and it sounds like a great improvement. From what I've read it does indeed sound like it's in good hands. When it gets closer to release I guess I'll actually have to buy UT3... Same way I begrudgingly bought Doom 3 for TDM and Into Cerberon.
  9. At this point the mantling system is already awesome.
  10. Plus if you are still carrying it while you go up the ladder you can drag it around a bit even at the top of the ladder. I had no trouble retrieving my rope arrows; it's just near impossible to see the frob light (if it exists at all yet for arrows?). I also experienced the mysterious door-opening after I closed it and walked out. All in all, though, excellent work, guys. I'm impressed.
  11. Very cool. Looking forward to this "small taste" indeed!
  12. This thread quickly turned from average to BEST THREAD EVER.
