Query: when was the last time a zombie in a video game was unnerving or scary to you? I'm chipping away at my anniversary submission and I've been trying to gather opinions on the subject. I'm perfectly capable of lighting them well, changing their sfx, and creating effective ambience, but I'm worried that zombies at their core are just too overdone to be an effective payoff to the tension I'm creating.

Tree Beasts in Thief are a good example of a perfectly executed (non-boss) challenge: concealed, fast, resistant, relentless and powerful. I wish we had something similar in TDM.
Mages in Written in Stone can light up their surroundings when alerted to great effect. Skeletons in A Night in Altham are equipped with permanent headlights. You can mix these two examples and see if you can come up with something new.
For what is worth, when I travel east I never go near The Marsh of Rahena. There are truly unnerving and scary things in those wet lands.

How about an easy to maintain (text only) forum announcement featuring the latest mission / missions for, I don't know, a month or for as long as missions don't get de-throned?

Maybe a bit of advice ? In the FM series I'm preparing, the two main characters have the given names Toby and Agnes (it's the protagonist and deuteragonist, respectively), I've been toying with the idea of giving them family names as well, since many of the FM series have named protagonists who have surnames. Toby's from a family who were usually farriers, though he eventually wound up working as a cobbler (this serves as a daylight "front" for his night time thieving). Would it make sense if the man's popularly accepted family name was Farrier ? It's an existing, though less common English surname, and it directly refers to the profession practiced by his relatives. Your suggestions ?

He hates Toby. He is Tobias Farrier during the day and Tob after midnight.
