  1. Yeah, since its so linear, have to go one way, once you're through, you're through and you know it. TDM and Thief have spoiled us silly. By that rotating value/handle. I threw a crate near the handle, jumped over to it, and just casually turned the handle while the beasties had lunch elsewhere.
  2. Yes, that door, especially that very last door, when time is of the essence. That was intense.
  3. I guess I'm jaded, horror I love it, thats why it doesn't effect me much, because I love it. Nothing scares me, I may jump at a loud noise, just because its loud. I rarely if ever get freaked out. Maybe I'm the freak.
  4. What else are you suppose to do in a horror game besides survive, have tea? Shalebridge Cradle made me yawn.
  5. Bit of a change in that you NEED the light, Garrett is so used to hiding.
  6. Give it a looksie. I loved it personally, you know me, horror nut anyway. The lowest level in the demo is the best and most tense.
  7. For a demo to give that impression, to make you feel like that. It did its job. Clever how you had to figure out how to deal with those, water monsters. Use the body parts as bait to lure them away from you. Like a rabid dog, throw something in the opposite direction to get rid of it.
  8. As much as I wanted to play this FM, I couldn't, it about made me sick. I watched Leatherman play it, that was enough. I used to get seizures when I was a kid. I can't handle spinning, and moving stuff like that. Sorry!
  9. Just finished the demo. I wanted more. The more you decent, and end up in the flooded out section, that area and the beast are unnerving to say the least. Nice bit of discovery finding that you can throw objects to lure the beast away from you, nice touch, and a great help! Looking forward to the full version.

    Alien Swarm

This is indeed funny. modetwo, who is running the board for you guys, and is the webmaster too, for Black Cat games. I'm an admin on Black Cat games. We also are moderators for the Steam bunch. Cythe who is created the Belcher for us, is a part of Alien Swarm, and is one of the creators, and also a member of black cat games. He also helped on Portal and L4d 2. lol funny. Enjoy!
  11. So few good horror games out there. Went through Penumbra series not too long ago, lots of fun. Will be playing this one for sure. Such a good time of year to play it too! My favorite time of year.
  12. False, other people tried it, and that IP wasn't working. Lately, the last umpteen times, its been a DNS issue. Frankly this is old, and they are too damn lazy to do anything about it. For such a smart group of people, this issue is pretty old, and pretty dumb to keep let happening. What Saam doesn't want to give up the computer? Pfft.
  13. They've had DNS issues in the past, and the alternate IP isn't working. On Eidos, people are saying its a DNS issue. TTLG is still running through Saam's family's business server. It hasn't totally been moved to an independent server, nor is it near to those who could get their hands on it and kick it back into service in a timely fashion.
  14. Glad it was the bike and not you! Take care of yourself, you can always get another bike. Harder to replace you.
  15. Yes, I have lock picks, I'm on the ledge right now, went out the window. Noticed a book stuck IN a shelf. Crate missing part of the lock. I will say you've got the Vertical down pat, thats for sure. For a first mission, a really good effort. Just needs a bit more polishing, please make more! I'm going back out onto the ledge.
  16. I will! I enjoyed being able to turn off that blasted light on the lower level.
  17. From just a players point of view, the AI have been getting stuck a lot. In the very beginning, when I started to climb, the game kept freezing up on me, once I got past a certain point, it was OK. Once I made it to the top, to explore the tower further, the rocks to the left, I could climb on them, get to the higher point on them, by that hanging green light, and something killed me. After a reload, I couldn't get onto the rocks, except the first one anymore. I'm not done yet, I'll play more later. Just some thoughts off the top of my head.
  18. This is the kind of movie that has to be seen on the big screen, the visuals make it so. Jean Luc anyone? Enjoyed it, thought provoking, I am a dreamer by nature, and dream all the time. Makes one wonder the possibilities. Nice to have a smart movie, and not so dumbed down. It could of been tighter on the story line, so much going on, hell they could of made it longer even. Over all, enjoyed it.
  19. Biker, this thread will answer some of your questions. http://forums.blackcatgames.com/showthread.php?t=12890 Only Dalai, Cythe, and Solaris were hired by Valve. NB consisted of nothing but volunteers, Digi from TTLG helped a bit on it towards the end. As with many projects, it just died. A real shame.
  20. You build it, they will come and play it. Don't sweat about it, when the time is right to build again, you'll know it. I'm sure it will be awesome. Don't put the pressure on yourself, not worth it.
  21. Thats a nice read there Sotha. Explains a lot. You made use of everything, and everything fit perfectly. OK, so, since you've had this thing for evil yet tragic characters, we can expect more from you correct?
  22. There are no real horror games out today. This is as close to what I love, I'll take it anyday! Thanks Team. I love this one too. I'm going to replay it again later.
  23. Currently Dallas, raised in Grand Rapids Michigan. There might be a small gathering here in Dallas, we've got some TTLG people, Biohazard, and Hybrid formally known as Salsa on Black Cat. God knows who else might show. This is just talk for now, nothing concrete has been set. Over the years, have met a dozen or so, Thief folk.
