I have recently just discovered The Dark Mod and i would like to applaud the developers and everyone who has contributed to level design and voice acting etc. as this is a phenomenal mod. Congratulations, i can't wait to hear more.

Score! I found a i7 2670m laptop with 8gb and a Radeon 6730m at a thrift shop for $100... It features 2 500GB HDDs, one of which was dying. That was the one with the Windows install. So I of course substituted it with a 128 GB SSD. At first I thought the hinges were breaking, but it was just a loose screw.

Back to basics: I've been playing Hitman: Codename 47 again. They don't make 'em like they used to. I love the brutal difficulty and no saves. It really makes me do whatever it takes to get the job done with minimal risk.

It really is incredible how badly modern software is designed. I'm on a web page and I want to copy the comments into a text document for easier reading. When I select the few thousand of them, the thing starts lagging like crazy and saying that "scripts on the web page are taking a long time". This is on a 6-core 3.5 GHz machine with 24 GB of memory. How do they engineer something so poorly?

I didn't know one could fix the problem with "leaking" arches when you thicken a curved patch...Then I read about "non fixed" subdivisions in the patch inspector...That saves a lot of headache

Right. I was playing Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup the other day. I found an artifact: transparent whip. These artifacts are randomly generated. Identification spell told me it was "-1 whip of Domination" with attributes "{pain} {Rage} {rF+} {rN+} {dex-5}." Looks like the RNG got kinky on me...

So now that I've been in my house for 2 months, I'm starting to really enjoy it. Cleaning out the old people's garbage (literally ugh) was such a huge task.
