  1. Amazing work Lemony, thank you for the time and work you've invested!
  2. I forgot about this one! I was waiting for it to get a translation. If it's stalled I might go and try playing it "blind" again. = )
  3. These two shorts will only take a few minutes, but put a big grin on my face. http://io9.com/5755105/what-if-superman-was-a-disney-cartoon http://io9.com/5922922/this-superman-fan-cartoon-is-good-enough-to-warrant-an-entire-movie They're inspired by the original Fleischer Superman cartoons from the 40s, which had an absolutely staggering budget for each one made. They used rotoscoping to achieve the fluid character movement. Probably more my thing than yours, but perhaps worth looking for. = )
  4. My Dad was all over this in the 90s, but Creatives dominance was too great - and so his tech - despite technically being shipped in every Xbox, and being available as middleware for the other consoles, never really reached its full potential. If a game has amazing graphics, that will fill up 90% of an article about it. If a game has amazing, mind blowing sound, it will only get 10% coverage in an article.
  5. I would like to echo some suggestions here. Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth is worth playing just for the first hour or two of gameplay. There is sneaking - there are a couple of frustrating bits where you are shooting bad guys, but I stuck with it right up until it fell apart at the end and didn't regret it. Dark Messiah of Might And Magic: Absolutely amazing game - it is just missions in large levels, so don't worry about it being like Fallout. I have been saving it up for ages. I'm utterly rubbish at it. =-< Arx Fatalis: I loved it when it came out but trying to replay it now all I see are the bugs, awful voice acting and difficulty. Definitely worth getting for a couple of quid to try out. Bloodlines is great, there are fan patches to iron out the bugs and add quests back in that were cut. You can choose to play disfigured Nosferatu, who HAVE to sneak everywhere in the sewers to avoid causing a scene! Hitman Blood Money I think is a must play. Once you get the hang of it, like Thief, you get out of the FPS mindset and start thinking about how to do things without causing a scene, Was worth playing for me, just for the 3rd level, after a successful hit, calmy striding out of a crowded area, picking up my sniper rifle in a briefcase - as horrified crowds rush to the scene of the "accident". Deus Ex: HR does have viable stealth, you can go the whole game sneaking and knocking guys out. Likewise the original DE, you can play that killing only 3 bosses throughout. Good old electric prod. =D
  6. This looks amazing - I'm super excited for this one.
  7. I really think Springheel should just use his skill and judgement to pick a couple of "newbie" missions, that aren't too hard and show off TDM at its best. I don't think there'd be an uproar. =-P There are definitely half a dozen missions that deserve a * next to their name in the downloads menu to say they are an editor's pick.
  8. Hey! Finally got round to catching up on some TDM - and played this as my first! I had played briefly before but that was with the bug that stopped the main objective being filled. Now I had a fabulous time - lots of sneaksy-ing about - as usual I only play on Normal, had a lot of fun! Absolutely loved... 4/5 across the whole board for me, ace! =-)
  9. Didn't someone start work on a System Shock style mod for D3, a bit like The Dark Mod? I read about it in PC Gamer ages ago but could never find out if it got anywhere.
  10. Since it is my SPECIALIST SUBJECT, I just want to say that "Sleep No More" is a wonderful title taken from an excellent collection of short ghost / weird fiction from 1948 by a well regarded railway historian, LTC Rolt... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/LTC_Rolt#Bibliography And that experience sounds absolutely excellent.
  11. My mobile phone has FM - sometimes it has been a source of sanity as I tune it to BBC Radio 4. <3
  12. A wild family visit has occured, stopping all doodling activities. =-X

    1. Sir Taffsalot

      Sir Taffsalot

Whats that game called where you have 2 draw a catchprase or movie title without using words? If someone on your team guesses it you get a point.

    2. Xarg

      Xarg

      Uh, Pictionary?

    3. Sir Taffsalot

      Sir Taffsalot

That's it. That would be fun to play with the family and it would demonstrate your doodling skills.

  13. Apparently it's http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pons_Aemilius =-)
  14. Saw this on the front page of Reddit - in my mind I imagine loads of these as islands crumbling in the middle of Bridgports waterways: http://i.imgur.com/Lx2wa.jpg
  15. This thread needs love and cuddles and fresh pots of tea I think. :-I
  16. Man I loved Clive Barker's Undying. SUDDEN... URGE... TO REINSTALL!!! Anyone know if it works on Windows 7? =-P
  17. It is a Crysis mod the purpose of which is indeed to replicate the lush interior of the Titanic.
  18. In all seriousness - what was the straw that broke the camel's back here? He hadn't done anything particularly provocative that I'd seen in ages. Only the "rate worst missions" thing he did a couple of months ago.
