  1. This sounds cool - any chance of a super high res screenshot? <3 <3
  2. Can't wait to play it. Will probably make me cry like a girl.
  3. The music just makes that mod video. =-P
  4. Ooh this is exciting! Good luck to everyone involved in bringing it to life. =)
  5. Amusingly, in the development video showing the mods the official team made in the first week after it shipped - one of them made fire, water and freeze arrows - and added "assassin's vision" to track enemy patrols - AND ALSO the ability for guards to reignite doused flames! Another person added truly dark dungeons... Methinks they were all itching to be making a Thief game... ;-)
  6. Just doing a big ol' deep scan of my 'puter with Ad Aware, Malware bytes and Security Essentials.
  7. My jaw literally dropped on seeing that <3 <3 <3
  8. Jaxa those are some good ideas. I love picking up small items in TDM - my favourite is things like --- hidden low value gemstones. Things that are hidden by servants trying to steal them - you find a clue and find some small piece of jewellry. Small rings are perfect like that. Oh - let's not forget that a small packet of tea / coffee beans or the equivalent in this world would be worth a LOT of money. Even in the 18th century, a pound of tea was worth a month's wages for a working man. And the City is arguably in a much earlier age of trade and exploration.
  9. Your work is stunning N, keep it up! <3
  10. Whatever you do - I'm looking forward to it! Glad to hear it can even surprise you. =-P
  11. I was going out to see a band with my Dad but the snow put a stop to that - I live up a hill without much traffic so the road was quickly difficult to pass. =-<
  12. @Shadowhide Which mod is that screenshot from? I can't place it. :-X
  13. I freaking love canals! I've lived by the Thames my whole life so I'm generally interested in canals and riverways as methods as commerce overall. In my mind a city like Bridgeport would have quite a few waterways as well as buried rivers and things like London so this is a welcome looking level! =-)
  14. "Take your best shot, flatlander woman."

  15. I can't think to pick out a definitive top 5, but for what it's worth - I rank Flakebridge Monastery as my no.1 by a long way!
  16. I think it is genuine excitement - it's almost offering up a whole sub genre of "masquerade" FM by itself. =-)
  17. Yeah it's DX: http://www.gog.com/en/news/introducing_square_enix_on_gog_com Though for a moment I had a twinkling of hope to get SS1 and SS2 DRM free there. =-< Would be grand to have Thief Gold and Thief: TMA CD free though - might be the kick in the arse I need to start playing FMs for those games!
  18. Oh wow! Love it - love the feathers... Putting me in a "Life of the Party" mood! =-)
  19. I like the looks of that crossbow repeater! @SH: Is this a Flooded Quarter mission?
  20. I am most definitely talking about the 2005 one. It's a wonderful silent movie done by enthusiasts on a tiny budget. I can't wait to watch their latest movie based on The Whisperer in Darkness. I wish I could recommend to you the Penguin Classics versions of Lovecraft's writings edited by S.T. Joshi but if you're reading them in German that would probably make things more difficult for you. =-X
  21. Rango was a surprise hit for me too. Came out of nowhere. Wouldn't call it mindless myself - I felt it was quite clever - just badly paced. Absolutely stunning character design. Imagine Pixar making characters not for children (with huge eyes etc.) but for adults. === Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol was terribly silly but brought to life all the high camp gadget / hustle stuff that I rather enjoyed. Contagion whilst an interesting concept was leaden and couldn't decide to what extent it was a drama or a mockumentary.
  22. These are all making me want to rewatch my Call of Cthulhu DVD! But then it was always the Lost City and lovecraftian fear in Thief that made me so excited.
  23. I give up and then I go cry in a corner. But that's my solution to everything.
