I have darkmod2.0 installation + DarkRadiant in it + maps, materials, scripts folders. As I try to dmap even simplest 1 room map, darkmod just don't see its file.

Lately I found http://www.cameramouse.org/about.html -this program use webcam for tracking any indicated object in camera view (like nose). If "cursor" will stay still for a short period of time, it counts as "click". I thought I could look around with this method in some FPP game, but sadly even in windowed mode "nose cursor" run behind an application window and stick to pulpit.
It is clumsy, you have to move your head but keep eyes on stationary monitor, would need total redo with standard mouse+keyboard interaction while webcam would control only head movement ( a bit like second lever in gamepad). Oculus Rift is rather fancy toy and almost everyone have webcam, so it could be poor but still fresh controller -yet another way to pour your body in game world. It already was somewhere told that Kinect is nothing special and with appropriate software standard webcams can do same things.

Some of people will start their fun with stealth games from TDM, and you should give them a chance. Difficulty level is Thief dogma, and I see it as another way to make a player customize his approach to FM: like in 'Down in the Bonehoard' where you have Mystic's Heart and Mystic's Soul occurring only as Expert level objective.
You could change default settings and instead of easy/ hard, make assassin objectives/ spy objectives/ robber objectives for one map. Three different missions on one map, player decide what he like.

I guess starting point will be some music software, or rather choosing from available freeware or, other, programs from higher shelf. There you have prefabricated settings to start of, and you can mess with pitch ,speed, falloff, reverb and hundred of other parameters. Some haunting bells will be easy to start, then filling gaps with other random effects you will find interesting.

It is pointless statement that today children can't play it. Back in 8bit days there was only few games, and they were on level of today flash games. Now you have zillion of titles to chose from and even good one will go on shelf forgotten. There you had no choice but to beat those few games, now you are distracted from all sides by new ones. It is impossible to play even all AAA games, and when to look at all flash or indie games? You don't have time to master one title, you can merely relay on nostalgia or "love from first sight" to choose something at all.

On screenshot 2 and 3 you have almost completely flat ceilings, maybe this 90 degree angle between wall and ceiling looks too simple (trimming on whole length), or you need there few thick beams or sculptured supports.

Recently I had RealPlayer ( http://eu.real.com/?mode=rp ), just need to disable update in autostart, but some other "part" of program have to work in background. It show up as button in up-right corner of video (youtube and some other sites too).
Now installed YTD Video Downloader ( http://www.ytddownloader.com/ ), it have small icon in corner of browser bar, you can chose there resolution and video format. It is good choice ,so far, but a search icon (search tool bar equivalent?) pop up over text whenever I highlight text with mouse (you can disable it).

I saw the same skull with bat wings on tomb obelisk on evangelical lutheran cemetery. But this one have snake eating its own tail - I wonder what was intention of such decorations.

Dagger loot icon over next one? I had that issue too. And spiders in the wall, yes, there need to be monster_clip over that whole wall patch or spiders will sink in it (they don't see this obstacle).

Some chaotic and illogical architecture here and there: fenced balcony have more "secret" entrance than room behind big portrait (btw I manage to go through this fence, I think only horizontal bars have collision model -someone have to look and redo carefully this model). But maybe only I'm in pain when I see chimney on roof, not existing on attic, and shifted for 1 meter on lower floors (Knighton manor) .
A bit small but a goal was to make it work -so good work!

It is not working.The intent is to hide the object at map start, so it should be used like this:

I also need trigger_relay to be switched when player pick up a specific object. I thought I will just put trigger_once_entityname nearby, but it do nothing. It have "entityname" and "target" args, but maybe it respond only to world objects like crate carried in hands, not virtual objects respawned in inventory?

Leave it visible and hide it after map load by adding this line to your main routine
$name_of_your_fs.hide();
I have this popping out at TDM start:
ERROR:Error: file script\tdm_custom_scripts.script, line 58: "name_of_your_fs" is not a type
It probably need some void anyname() { } but I have no idea how should it look.

It is repetitive problem, I already tried rebuild func_static. Maybe engine don't create collision model if func_static don't exist at map load?

When I look at shots like this, I think most of textures have same noise applied on them. Maybe one grainy texture for ambient light can do the trick?
