I think my next map will be something Builder related, or in other words you have get into a builder space and retrieve something (which would essentially a prequel to my first mission story telling wise, if you played my mission you know what i mean ~). Just to let you know. ;P If it fits somehow in the contest i would ofc participate.
  2. The rating system has indeed its shotcomings, but we did not created it, we only took it over. Ofc you can change the end result the way how you weighten the different scores. Maybe you want to create a new thread to the discuss the aspects of a rating system in full depth`? ;p

The rapidsharelink in the first post of this thread is not working? o.O It works for me. @ Xarg: Well the 1.1 version which is on since about a few weeks or so has some significant improvements regarding performace, the market itself however is not fixable this way as its just a a larger open area. :/ If you Except of the castle part there should be in every area ambient music (the docks area only has waves). The music in the rich houses is a bit subtle.

    No problem, its normal for this forum that even for simple topics everybody will freak out and a lenghty discussion about everthing except the thread topic will emerge.
  6. Ok, that means you think 99% of all TDM missions are complete garbage when zero points is the average for you. That really explains it I guess.
  7. So the fact that in this map you cant rambo-ing around, headshotting innocent civilians, makes it to one of the worst released TDM missions ever for you? Aside from that this mission is one of the most non-linear of the Mod as you can roam around the open map freely in 2 unrelated big inns, lol.
  8. I am really sorry, the performance is indeed a problem for the map, mostly the city/marketplace part (although the 1.1 version has some optimizazions). Maybe people can return in 2020 and play the map.
  9. 4/15 or better 8/30 on a 10 numbers chart certainly means utter crap. Especially when considering that there is no zero vote, so therefore 1/5 (=worst possible) means full of shit. Probably its a semantic problem, as those words in the poll are very "positive".
  10. I think Battlefield 3 or Modern Warfare would be a more fitting games for you. They even have realistic houses.
  11. Yes you are not only the one with slowdowns in this area. The scene is quite heavy and demanding on some views. The 1.1 upwards improved version of the map has some optimizations which may grant a few more fps (but it stays demanding). Regarding settings i dont know, perhaps you can lower your graphics settings which would certainly speed it up, but thats a mod related thing.
  12. If no more bugs/issues are reported within this thread that would be the final version. But i guess we can wait a few more days or so... ~
  13. The one on the TDM Page is not correct/old, the one in this thread here should work. ~
  14. The verison upped now hast the ambient light fix (for the city, as i did not recognized the problem inside the houses or the docks). Internal Leaks - there are none. The VP's all work, the engine just cant handle the scenes because it is too much at once. :/
  15. The "contest" was fucked up when 5 of 9 participants dropped out and only 2 released their mission in time. I am not really thinking in terms of a contest here (i anyway ignored the space constraints broadly ), only of some released individual missions. Ofc bending a release deadline in a serious contest would have been something i would have disliked too (as its obv not very fair), but since with 2 entries the whole concept of a contest is neglected i really dont care of it. I am just happy to have my mission released and some people like it. ;P
  16. I was playing some maps the last weeks and needed the lantern badly because it was day and i couldnt see much in the dark. But the lantern was basically useless, so i always grabbed a candle which has far more light. So if even a small candle has a much larger light radius, why cant the lantern have one to make it more useable?
  17. Yes, the ambient light changes sometimes when going through a Visportal, but i have no clue why. There is a single ambient light for the whole map. :/

  19. I uploaded a new version with fixing those things (briefing, moss arrow, sheet of paper). Link ofc has changed again, because i cant replace files in rapidshare. >.>
  20. Huh yeah, i took the standard briefing (which has 6 pages) and added a page entry of my my own (for 7 pages). The problem is/was that such an entry includes numerous lines referencing to other parts of the briefing (through numbers) where I for the most part did not really understood what the particular line was for, so i just looked on the entries and tryed to change the numbes in a locigal way. In the end it seems that it works forward but for the backward part, I will try to look into it.
