Jeez, they just keep coming don't they?
-
is this why the domain keeps dropping for the occasional hour, every now and then? It's always when you really, really need to read that wiki article that it happens
-
Yes I noticed the access problems too

Anyone know anything this? Great vid as always Gggman. btw if you ever decide to go back to this, you can Google "dsounds.dll" or "doom 3 surround sound" that somewhat fixes the surround sound in the game (Doom 3 originally supported it back in the day but seems to be missing in The Dark Mod). Having said that you're right, it's disappointing that surround sound is sorely missing from many games these days, only one I know that did it well was Alien: Isolation.
-
dsound.dll is part of creative alchemy, if your running windows vista and above this needs to be installed if your running a creative card - like your audigy.
-
Oh! Never knew this.
-
No need for Creative card, mates! http://community.pcgamingwiki.com/files/file/28-creative-alchemy-universal/

Hehe... Didn't realize it was a pre-purchase.
-
Amnesia is great. Already bought Soma on GOG and looking forward to playing it.

I went through hell to get the mouse working. Turns out that any Icon\Text scaling will make it unplayable. Must have all destop attributes at native defaults. My eyes are not happy reading the tiny text and I don't want to lower my desktop resolution and have a blurry mess. Oh well. I can play now.

Are we suppose to laugh? Is it okay to laugh?

I swear I wasn't doing a google search--this is my second unexpected reference today: "Immediately, the very high acceptance rates of naturopathic programs is striking. On average, nearly three out of four applicants to any program will be awarded admission. What stands out the most to me is that at University of Bridgeport all applicants are welcome to study."

Who picked this silly name anyway... I vote for Turtle Village!

It's that time of year where I start checking the forecast obsessively. I think I need spring.

You guys need to read some more old-timey Penny Dreadfuls!

Hah! Never knew about that, that's great.

RIP Mr. Spock.

Indeed, that's 3 now of the original cast.
-
RIP Leonard Nimoy. It's strange i've been a fan of his since I was a child and I knew this day would come eventually, especially when I heard the news he was hospitalized recently. Still doesn't make the whole thing any less sad even though he did live a long life.
Death is such a strange... thing.
-
Loosely speaking there's a chance he's been reincarnated as a vulcan in another galaxy. If reincarnation exists, and if there's a sentient being in charge of it, and if they have a sense of humor.

After the flu I got a nasty cough, and now I've thrown my back out from coughing so much. What a treat this holiday is turning into.

Get well soon. I have a nasty cough too but have been spared any collateral injuries so far.
-
Im at home for a week now. I start to take antibiotics, even so no party to night :-(
-
I'd like to add my household to the roll of seasonally afflicted.

Yes. This year has been nasty for illness. The weather has been on the warmer side, and I think that contributes. Get well soon, everyone.
-
I had an odd bug last year for 6 weeks. Get some broad spectrum antibiotics or a Z-pack and wipe that shit out. It sucks to feel under the weather. Get well.
-
I got my flu on too!
-
Testing, testing...testing is fun.

I am not a good mapper.

@Airship ROFL

Seems like this site is the only place I can actually get to on the internet right now. Weird.

Installing free teacher version of Maya right now...could it be that easy?
- Show previous comments 2 more
-
Well, seems like there were several versions between 8.5 and 2012...not sure the files will be fully compatible.
-
Who can get this version and what are the restrictions?
-
You have to be either an educator or student: http://www.autodesk.com/education/free-software/maya
-
Oh townsfolk_female, stop playing hard to get...

@ Biker: I re-played St. Albans cathedral recently and I'm sure I saw a female guard patroling the streets. Is that the one SeriousToni made?
-
We definitely need new female vocals. Anyone know any voice actresses?
-
I'm trying to coach a friend to do some female vocals, it's a slow process.
-
Rigging shoulders is definitely a contender for my least favourite TDM activity.

Maya 2015 LT has updated it's rigging tools considerably plus it's free for students.
Have you tried animation/posing dedicated software like Poser/Daz or iClone/Motionbuilder?
It's a lot faster there than doing it by hand in max for example
-
I do have a new character on the books for 2.03, but right now I'm just updating the citywatch for LOD.
-
I'm not a student, but if someone who is can get me a free copy of Maya, I'd be quite pleased.
-
On TV right now is a show subtitled: "A Nightmare in Bridgeport"!
-
"How do they expect me to guard things in the dark?!"

Ok, so a high of 22 today, and then a high of -1 tomorrow. I feel like I'm on that Genesis planet in Star Trek III.

I keep forgetting that you're relatively local, AH.

Yesterday was 75 in Indiana and we're suppose to get snow flurries today

Just when I thought I had the challenge level about right, I realize I've been testing with AI Vision set to "Nearly Blind." Doh!
- Show previous comments 1 more
-
Yeah, I'll be depending on my beta-testers for help there.
-
lol
-
Mapping tip 2: Ghost key. When you move an AI on different difficulty levels, don't forget to move objects bound to them.
-
Mapping tip of the day: telling a single entity "don't spawn" on difficulty 2 and "use origin X" on difficulty 2 results in a hard crash.
-
Nearly there.

swizzle

That exerpt was from the Winnie the Pooh story - about Tigger (if you didn't get that). I didn't just make it up.
-
@Lux, swizzle - hehe
-
Yesterday it was 10 degrees and I didn't need a coat. Today we have an exteme cold warning and 15 cm of snow. WTF?
- Show previous comments 9 more
-
Same thing happened here 3 times in a row! The first day warm enough for no coat, next day snow, 2 weeks to warm up again, repeat two more times.
-
Now that you mention it, today might have be a 4th time, first day warm again this morning, very cold again tonight. But no snow, just cold rain this time.
-
welcome to global warming slash climate change.
-
Fun bug of the day. AI stops in the middle of a conversation and walks five minutes back to the beginning of the map, then turns around, walks 5 minutes back, and finishes the conversation.

I know that problem from `real live`

He just had to gather his thoughts.
