So, what are you working on right now?

@Melan: Waterfall is a thin triangle (or diamond) of water volume, with tdm_waterfall_light.prt here and there, and tdm_waterfall_light_splashes.prt at bottom.

@Biker: This foggy cliff is surprisingly light for engine, at my low end PC I get not less than 30fps at wide angle from far corner of this area. I guess lack of lights is really beneficent.

Great stuff, although some of the brick use looked a bit off, like using bricks for stair railings.

Argh...I really need everyone's help on this one. I'm trying to create an imposing entrance made up of a very large building cut into a cliff face. I've tried two different setups and both of them suck. Here's the one I think has the most promise:

I know what the issues are but I can't think of any solutions. First off the whole thing looks short and squat, like a fat brick just sitting there, which makes it much less imposing than its size should. Second I'm worried that the individual pieces (especially the columns) are too big and plain which makes the scene lack in detail.

The obvious solution is to vary the height of the building or the depth of the facade, but I can't think of a way to do that that looks good...any thoughts (or suggestions for an entirely new setup)?

But you should walk having internal dignity. Be a wonderful person who can dance pleasantly to the rhythm of the universe.

Monobo, columns are point consern? They looks kinda fat. And that ringy thing at the bottom of columns will be better if sharp edged and smaller. And perhaps downscale textures. Otherwise looks worthy of an epic entrance!

What excuse do we have not to sculpt, and sculpt, and sculpt, until the job is done?

Neat! How did you add a current to it?

Come the time of peril, did the ground gape, and did the dead rest unquiet 'gainst us. Our bands of iron and hammers of stone prevailed not, and some did doubt the Builder's plan. Thanks Sotha & Sometaff, I'll try doubling the overall size of the space I'm working with for a start, and fix the columns. Thanks also for the Petra reference shot.

I've finally managed to log in to The Dark Mod Wiki. I'm back in the saddle and before the holidays start in full, I'll be adding a few new FM articles and doing other updates. Written in Stone is already done.

I like the new frob highlight but it would nice if it was less "flickery" while moving over objects (especially barred metal doors).
