They do not fit perfectly, but it is sufficient. You may have to mirror the texture, though.

@Moonbo I could never get the runner middle and ends to match as well so you're not alone however I find you can get it to a level where if the player isn't paying attention it would be overlooked.

@Venus I think you're talking about the scene which I zoom in on the blood patch near the tree. That's set in a dark foggy and rainy forest which is intentionally very hard to see. However if the other scenes are dark then i'm not sure. I usually have my ambient light set to level 10 as that's what is recommended in the wiki.

Really? I could never get them to work.

Here's a prefab:

This isn't a "real" update, but I just passed 10K brushes on the map and so wanted to celebrate with a quick pic :

And now it's back to work :P.

Yes! And pay attention to the lighting. See how the light is set just so that it gives a rich gradient from darkness to brightness, and how the statues cast subtle, yet interesting shadows.

Sometimes, I think, the lighting is the most important part of a scene... what you illuminate and what you leave in the darkness.

Those shots look great. One suggestion: use a different, less saturated wood texture for the door in image 2/3--the red wood really stands out in that scene.

Looks excellent, especially the brushwork around the blue windows, and the water coming from the gargoyle's mouths is a nice touch. The only small niggle I see is that there's a texture misalignment on the bottom right of the last pic. Keep it coming!

First teaser video for The Accountant 2: New In Town

Very nice. Just played The Accountant 1, and was an enjoyable mission. The switch though was a little easy to find, found it first sweep of room, and

the book I found I also found pretty easily. Was expecting it to be better hidden, n was surprised to find it where it was lol. I guess it's an obvious hiding

spot, who would think to look for a hidden object there lol... well me I guess lol. Fun mission. Liked the tricky guards in hall/dining room/kitchen. They

were nicely timed.

And some more shots from my current wip -

Gorgeous work there. One question re it though, mostly on taste. Why did you use those floorboards? With the whole

place looking as luxurious as it does, it sort of doesn't fit that they'd have such old and weather beaten floorboards. Just

curious as to why you chose them? Colour?

If you're talking about the stock TDM runners then they do match.

I've tried everything to get the stock runner middle sections to align with the end pieces. Resizing even

down to 0.01 still won't get them to align. The issue I'm having with them, is I can get the centre pieces

to align no problem, however the dark lines just before the edge refuse to align. If I get them aligned

then the centre section is out. I spent over an hour just trying to get one mid section to align to an end

piece and gave up in the end.

I think you need to "mirror" one of the ends. Use the texture-selector and click "invert horizontal" or "invert vertical".

Your screenshots make my map look like a cartoon. Maybe I should back out of this Halloween contest? You are light years ahead of me....

Whether in the contest or not, you should absolutely build your mission. First, people will enjoy playing it. Second, you will pick up skills which will come in handy in your next project.

Come the time of peril, did the ground gape, and did the dead rest unquiet 'gainst us. Our bands of iron and hammers of stone prevailed not, and some did doubt the Builder's plan. But the seals held strong, and the few did triumph, and the doubters were lain into the foundations of the new sanctum. -- Collected letters of the Smith-in-Exile, Civitas Approved

And remember, that graphics are not all! Plot, atmosphere, gameplay... They are, in my opinion, more important than graphics!

Next: "Monastery"

That's awesome, looks a lot like something I was working on too, yours is definitely more polished.

Here was the Cathedral I was working on.

This was going to be underneath the Cathedral also:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_NfFCfD9yfc

I fell into the trap of just making something huge without knowing what I was doing, so performance was terrible in the cave and Cathedral once I started adding detail.

I can't wait to try all these awesome new maps.

I always assumed I'd taste like boot leather.

Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!

Maybe a bit of advice ? In the FM series I'm preparing, the two main characters have the given names Toby and Agnes (it's the protagonist and deuteragonist, respectively), I've been toying with the idea of giving them family names as well, since many of the FM series have named protagonists who have surnames. Toby's from a family who were usually farriers, though he eventually wound up working as a cobbler (this serves as a daylight "front" for his night time thieving). Would it make sense if the man's popularly accepted family name was Farrier ? It's an existing, though less common English surname, and it directly refers to the profession practiced by his relatives. Your suggestions ?
