So, what are you working on right now?

@Moonbo. First i wanna tell that i really like that work, its something that at this moment i just cant do, i mean interiors. Well you ask for feedback so i give one.

Its about the window frames. They seem heavy and they seem to have no support. Im put your image with red lines, hope you understand what i mean.

For me this is one of the best topics because we realy can learn with each others. Everyone has their own style and we pic some ideias for our on work. Keep it coming.

Hey Capela,

Thanks, that's exactly the type of feedback I'm looking for :-). The reason I decided not to put a bit of stone along the bottom of those windows is that I was worried it would overlap with the trim underneath them. Does anyone else have a preference? It wouldn't be hard to change if people thought it looked weird.

I think they look fine but if you wanted to put a little metal rivet going into the base (perpendicular to the floor above the trim) that might

be a nice touch.

@Moonbo, I think they look fine too and you could also try a couple things:

1) A bevel on the bottom edge. That would go with the curve of the ceiling and taper it out toward the wall.

2) Recess them a bit so they stick out half as much as they are currently.

3) Recess them + a bevel.

Just some suggestions to try. I think its the shadows cast off that edge that are giving the frames the visual "weight".

Moonbo's work seems impeccable.

There are no complaints here, other than looking at something that beautiful makes me feel like scrapping my current WIP... ;)

Keep up the good work!

Blasphemy! Such heathen words you speak Sotha ;)

@Moonbo as always your screenshots blow me away, keep up the good job :)

Thanks guys, for now I'll just leave it as-is then, but depending on beta tester feedback I might change it up (probably using RPGista's suggestion).

@Sotha, that roof took a few days and is probably the most complicated bit of patchwork I've ever made, so don't feel too bad :-P. And don't even THINK of scrapping one of your maps, I love your FMs!

From the thumbnail it took me a moment to realize that wasn't a photo of a real life scene.

Look great Sir Taff!

I've be replaying "Let Sleeping Thieves Lie" quite a bit for v2.03 testing.

It's quite a showcase for the new soft particle fixes at least, especially the cemetery area

@SirTaffsalot

Love the crown moulding and general interior in that last shot. Artfully crafted! Needs some baseboards to go with those marvelous crown mouldings though, don't forget those, and make sure the rugs aren't all exactly straight. Can't tell from the screenshot angle. :)

i am so euphoric to see new FMs keep coming out and I am keen to try it out in my leisure time, then suddenly my PC is spouting a couple of S.M.A.R.T errors...
tbf i cannot afford myself to miss my network emulator image file&progress, important ebooks, hyper-v checkpoint & hyper-v export and the precious thief & TDM gamesaves. Don't fall yourself into & lay your hands on crappy SSD

Does anyone actually use the Normalise button in the Surface inspector? Even after looking at the code I'm not quite sure what it's for.

Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!

I wanna play Doom 3, but fhDoom has much better features than dhewm3, yet fhDoom is old, outdated and probably not supported. Damn!
Makes me think that TDM engine for Doom 3 itself would actually be perfect.

Maybe a bit of advice ? In the FM series I'm preparing, the two main characters have the given names Toby and Agnes (it's the protagonist and deuteragonist, respectively), I've been toying with the idea of giving them family names as well, since many of the FM series have named protagonists who have surnames. Toby's from a family who were usually farriers, though he eventually wound up working as a cobbler (this serves as a daylight "front" for his night time thieving). Would it make sense if the man's popularly accepted family name was Farrier ? It's an existing, though less common English surname, and it directly refers to the profession practiced by his relatives. Your suggestions ?
