Hey Capela,

Looking good as usual, the only criticism I have is that it's very same-y color wise with most of the textures being muted grays and browns which makes all the buildings melt into each other. You might try varying up the textures on a few of the buildings, possibly using red/moldy-green/blue bricks or different color lights on the windows. Subtle color contrast can really add a lot to a scene.

But thats what made Thief4 and games like it so cohesive, its all the colours blending into each other. Cities and towns of this era were very drab, look at Elderscrolls all the building looked similar in colour pallet and a lot of people inclkuding me loved that.

@MoonBo, your the only mapper tdm or otherwise that seems to be able to use textures and colours in a way that somehow works, when the rest of try that it just dosen't work. ;)

Ooh, I want to explore that...

Just one little thing: in the first shot, there are a couple of orange/lit windows over on the right, but one of them appears to be ajar, and the room behind seems too dark to match the orange glass panes.

Some things I'm repeatedly thinking about...

So I have a late Christmas present for you all (or as the optimist would say an early New Years present!) but here is the briefing video created by the very talented Crowind for my next fan mission Lord Edgars Bathhouse.

My FM should be released tonight or tomorrow but in the mean time check this out and enjoy! :)

Fantastic work guys, very impressive and thief like, even the voice, thumbs up for the voice actor.

Thanks VanishedOne, I was trying to use the texture to highlight that the window is open, but you're right. I'll probably stick a candle in that window instead.

Heya jaxa, well i have Skyrim but only play it about 10 minutes, in fact i must have about 100 games that i collected over the years but finished only like 10% of them.

My inspiration comes from the universe of D&D that i have alot of magazines and adventures Books, and special from comic Books that i have a huge collection.

In fact i was thinking from a long time to make a version of the Temple Of Elemental Evil in the universe of Thief but that requires alot of free time that i dont have anymore...ha. and more Pagan content would be nice to.

i am so euphoric to see new FMs keep coming out and I am keen to try it out in my leisure time, then suddenly my PC is spouting a couple of S.M.A.R.T errors...
tbf i cannot afford myself to miss my network emulator image file&progress, important ebooks, hyper-v checkpoint & hyper-v export and the precious thief & TDM gamesaves. Don't fall yourself into & lay your hands on crappy SSD

Does anyone actually use the Normalise button in the Surface inspector? Even after looking at the code I'm not quite sure what it's for.

Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!

I wanna play Doom 3, but fhDoom has much better features than dhewm3, yet fhDoom is old, outdated and probably not supported. Damn!
Makes me think that TDM engine for Doom 3 itself would actually be perfect.

Maybe a bit of advice ? In the FM series I'm preparing, the two main characters have the given names Toby and Agnes (it's the protagonist and deuteragonist, respectively), I've been toying with the idea of giving them family names as well, since many of the FM series have named protagonists who have surnames. Toby's from a family who were usually farriers, though he eventually wound up working as a cobbler (this serves as a daylight "front" for his night time thieving). Would it make sense if the man's popularly accepted family name was Farrier ? It's an existing, though less common English surname, and it directly refers to the profession practiced by his relatives. Your suggestions ?
