That's a great roofline. Keep working!

Come the time of peril, did the ground gape, and did the dead rest unquiet 'gainst us. Our bands of iron and hammers of stone prevailed not, and some did doubt the Builder's plan. Ditto what 7upman said. If that's a basement window it should be set back from the walkway typically with a metal fence in front or else just make it a small grid window like what I just done....

Hey fellow taffers. I'm working on a mansion mission right now with a little twist at the end, but it's a secret.

It's still heavy WIP as I'm familiarizing myself with Dark Radiant and its particularities but I consider geometry as 75% done.

Pretty mind blowing for a first post Skacky! Do you have experience with other level editors / DromEd?

Damn looking at that post I feel embarassed that I haven't got more progress to show on my first FM for the past month (been lazy as hell lately).

I have a feeling this isn't your first rodeo, shacky. you are my kinda lurker. busting out on the scene with a beautiful almost-full FM ready to go. welcome to the forums.

Skacky, that looks gorgeous! And pretty damn fine for a first post

Only a few remarks:

* Please turn on anti-aliasing in the menu. 2x or 4x should be enough. It makes TDM look much much better :)

* Who is gonna light/extinguish all these in high-and-impossible to reach locations? Don't tell me somebody with a very long ladder goes round each evening and refills the oillamps :D

Thanks everyone. :)

Yeah I've been working with Hammer for quite some time now (9 years if I recall) and I know a bit about the Unreal Editor. It's my first time working with Dark Radiant though, even if I worked briefly with GTK Radiant 4 or 5 years ago.

Sorry about the antialiasing, I forgot to turn it on when I took the pictures. And concerning the lights up above, there is actually a ladder against a wall for a servant to light them. And he hates his job. :P

 Classic, poor fellow probably needs a vacation.

I always assumed I'd taste like boot leather.

Have you released anything for singleplayer using these editors? I'd be interested in checking those out.

Except for some levels in E.Y.E (which is not released yet), I never released any singleplayer maps. All my levels were for multiplayer games/mods (Half-Life, Natural Selection, Team Fortress 2, Half-Life 2 Deathmatch, etc...).

I designed some singleplayer levels before but I never publicly released them as they were pretty rough and just tests with entity setups, environment prototypes or effects.

What did you do for TF2? I've probably played it. I play customs a lot and have done some myself (koth_sandvich is one;) )

I'm also working on keybinds that match hammer, but space bar can't be used (camera control in Hammer).

Dammit there are too many missions available now. That's what I get for being away for so long. Such a first-world problem.

The best thing about not mapping more than like every other year is the awesome feeling to see how far TDM has gotten in all appartments. I can just create some parallaxing cobblestones and walk to and fro and just let the jaw drop

Hey, was trying to use the TDM_Update.exe file, but when I do it doesn't do anything! It just goes back to 2.12. I'm trying to run Luitenant 4, but it won't update, so I can't play it. What am I doing wrong?

Been away for quite a long time, didn't have much free time sadly, but the little that I had I was able to play a Romhack for Ocarina of Time called "Sands of Time".
It's great, fun, rather hard but too but I like it (except when it's way too tedious, only some parts are, not all of them)
Although the reason I'm sharing this is...Listen to the music, I've timestamped it to 27:56, it's titled "Memories Lost".
Doesn't it sound so serene, so melodic...So Thief-like? It's fantastic, I love it, it reminded me of Thief and how much I want to get back to it, so hopefully this month or the next, I will have a lot of free time to play it.
I can't wait to try that new big Thief campaign, The Black Parade, it seems to be promising.
No spoilers please, but can someone tell me if it has horror elements? Or better yet, horror mission...Or even missionS?
