Total estimates for mirrors is 3285. January to date is 120 for 5 days so still a reasonable projection of 600 for this whole month.

Anyone fancy doing moddb - it's awkard to work back. There is a total but I think it includes Saint Lucia and Thief's Den.

Total downloads since 10/17/2009 = 1485. Assuming a few downloads of SL and TD, it's safe to say 1450 total for TDM 1.0.

Fileplanet shows a total of 279 downloads, and Fileshack shows 376. (I'm assuming you aren't including these in your mirror totals)

Given the torrent downloads of 1244 and mirror downloads of 3285, the overall total would be 1450+279+376+1244+3285=

6634 Total

I have to look at the webstats of bloodgate.com (remind me if I forget) to get the number of hits on "tdm_mirrors.txt" to see how many downloads we really had.

In my last status message, I have asked for download statistics. Apparently, I had already asked this exact same question almost 10 years ago. Man, time flies by1!

Anyway, I think this thread is the closest thing we have right now regarding statistics. Somebody above mentioned the moddb stat page, which offers quite valuable information. On Moddb we had 62k Downloads in total, so that's quite cool I think. :-) There are also some nice graphs etc. Go check it out.

1 RE "time flies by": I recently had a look at the top posters statistics on this forum and, immediately, nostalgia set in. I can't believe how long I know some of you people already, although I have never seen your faces! A little bit sad, but also kinda AMAZING! :D

Does anyone actually use the Normalise button in the Surface inspector? Even after looking at the code I'm not quite sure what it's for.

Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!

I wanna play Doom 3, but fhDoom has much better features than dhewm3, yet fhDoom is old, outdated and probably not supported. Damn!
Makes me think that TDM engine for Doom 3 itself would actually be perfect.

Maybe a bit of advice ? In the FM series I'm preparing, the two main characters have the given names Toby and Agnes (it's the protagonist and deuteragonist, respectively), I've been toying with the idea of giving them family names as well, since many of the FM series have named protagonists who have surnames. Toby's from a family who were usually farriers, though he eventually wound up working as a cobbler (this serves as a daylight "front" for his night time thieving). Would it make sense if the man's popularly accepted family name was Farrier ? It's an existing, though less common English surname, and it directly refers to the profession practiced by his relatives. Your suggestions ?

Looks like the "Reverse April Fools" releases were too well hidden. Darkfate still hasn't acknowledge all the new releases. Did you play any of the new April Fools missions?
