TDM Source Code

It's not available yet, as we haven't decided on where to host it. Sourceforge is kind of crap and our own SVN server cannot handle large bandwidth impacts. Stay tuned.

that's understandable about the SVN server. though I've used Sourceforge and don't find anything wrong with it personally. however, the site is for free open source software only, which Doom3 currently is not.

where exactly are the downloadable TDM files hosted? SDK is quite smaller than the game itself.

The mod release files are hosted on various servers, but we're in need for a replacement of our in-house SVN server, as development on TDM will continue. Our repositories are quite large, although the code repository is admittedly smaller by some orders of magnitude.

To host this project I strongly suggest Icculus.org:

http://www.icculus.org/

It's 100% free, very well working, no limits of space or bandwidth, and it's managed by the guy who live making great ports for Games!

(IE: he ported a lot of great games:

I think he will be very happy to host TDM source project.

Yeah, thanks for the suggestions. In any case, after a brief internal discussion we will most likely just package up the sources and provide them as they were at the point of TDM 1.00 release. With each new release (e.g. 1.01) a new source package will be released alongside, which should be enough for everybody and we don't need to worry about SVN access (which is usually problematic, as people are regularly running into problems when checking out from SVN, judging from the past).

I'm going to type up a short compilation guide on our wiki, but don't sue me if I can't get around to do it.

The sources can now be downloaded on our website.

ossem.

btw I've hosted the svn server for Hexen: Edge of Chaos for years. if you guys need help with SVN I'd be happy to help. I'm no expert, but I know about subversion running through SSH and how to lock it down properly.

I've finally managed to log in to The Dark Mod Wiki. I'm back in the saddle and before the holidays start in full, I'll be adding a few new FM articles and doing other updates. Written in Stone is already done.

You cannot receive PMs. Could you please be so kind and check your mailbox if it is full (or maybe you switched off the function)?

I like the new frob highlight but it would nice if it was less "flickery" while moving over objects (especially barred metal doors).
