Forum feature request: 'Mark this forum as read'

Evening

 

Would it be possible to add 'Mark this forum as read' the the root(http://forums.thedarkmod.com/index) of the forum (as it is on ttlg) so when user visit the forum then dont have to go into each section and click on the link/s etc...?

ok didnt see it all the way at the bottom.... so could it be put further up..?

er, I did mention I was refering the root of the of the forum not the sub sections did I not....???!!!

It's displayed in the footer at all pages.

you can also click the keyhole icon on the mainpage of forum to mark each as read.

ah I didnt know we could do that...

 

But I refer back to my original reqeust, a single button or link to mark the forums as a whole, read.

I can't see the difference in clicking a button or instead a text-link saying "Mark Board As Read" on the bottom of the page. You don't even have to scroll in order to click it, if you only have access to the public forums...

 

But of course you can also come to this thread and click "Mark Board As Read" here, if you like...

as the stats section is missing a a little minimize click button, you have to scroll to the bottom to see the mark forums as read link..

 

It would be extremely usefull to have said link at the top of the forums and viewable from every section so no matter where you are you can see the link, as per the way it is on the ttlg forum.

It is viewable in all sections as it is located in the footer, which is always displayed. Having the link at top or at the bottom is rather a question about taste, not really functionality.

Ok piont taken. I have another suggestion so I/other done have to scroll down to see said link on the following link -

What would be usefull there is a minimize button on the 'todays content' section, like there is on the 'public forums' section. This ia a normal feature on sections of most forums theses days..
