LOL, I'm from the Czech Republic and I don't exactly LOVE hockey (I like Ice hockey of course).

Well, I'm one Canadian who quite likes hockey -- but I've never been a huge fan of the NHL in particular. After all, as an Ottawan, "my" team is chock full of Swedes and Czechs -- and last year's Stanley Cup winners are a bunch of French Canadians who play in a stadium full of Floridians.

 

I just hope the lockout results in an NFL-style salary cap and profit-sharing system, so that smaller cities (like the Winnipeg Jets) could hold onto their franchises, Green Bay stylee.

More or less the same problems occur in The English football league. A plethora of talented forenigers attracted by the huge amouints of cash coming over and squeeing out the local kids.

I aways find it rather amusing that someone can support their 'local' team, when it's probably managed by an Italian, populated by 6 Frenchmen, 4 Italians, a couple of Swedes and a Spaniard - with a token English kid thrown in for show.

Yeah, I have thought about that aswell. But then I dropped it cause I don't care about sports.. I love to play football and whatever, but I hate watching other people play it.
