After testing, I can safely say

retrieving the orb is totally fine, but I can reliably say that dipping the orb in the acid kills almost everything...

And ends up randomly raising stealth score by a solid chunk for whatever reason.

It might be the

ragdolls of the dead tipping each other or the Queen off,

but honestly your idea about why is as good as mine, just hoping that if possible I can avoid emphasizing why the score is a practical 0 in the inevitable video.

I like to record difficult stealth games, and right now you wonderful people are the only ones delivering on that front.

Click here for the crappy channel where that happens.

Figured out a way to the top of the tower with no rope arrows

Well done!

I hereby grant you, Twitch, the Glenham Tower Climbing Award!

There is only one in existence. Guard it well from rival climbers! ;)

Fitting user titles when?

I wouldn't mind seeing him earn the title "master mantler" on the forums.

I climbed Glenham Tower without rope arrows in 34.42 seconds:

I used a more direct route than the way @Twitch demonstrated here before.

Route details (in spoiler):

Spoiler

- I run up the angled rubble in front of the tower to gain upwards momentum and jump higher. Just after jumping, I lean forward and turn left towards the wall to get closer to the ledge and climb onto it. (Leaning isn't strictly necessary, but it gives more leeway on the angle).

- I press against the side of the window, so that I can creep and jump onto the edge of the windowsill with as little movement as possible to avoid slipping. I crouch mid-air to avoid bouncing off the ledge above (this doesn't always happen, but I still crouch just in case).

- As I land on the windowsill, I un-crouch and creep around to the front-left edge of the window. The ledge above extends well past the windowsill, so I line up with the window protrusion to make sure I'm about as far out from the wall as I can stand. From there, I face a bit to the left and lean left, then move back and hold jump in very quick succession. In mid-air I flick my aim to the right as I reach the ledge, which results in a successful climb on this attempt.

(My theory for the above climb is that I swing my view up and around the ledge... or something? I have also gotten up there by just running backwards and holding jump while facing the wall, but it's very finicky and I think I had a better success rate with my leaning method for whatever reason. This is the hardest part of the route.)

- I jump onto this floor's windowsill. The roof above extends slightly past the windowsill, so again I line up with a protrusion to ensure I'm standing far out from the wall. From there I move back and hold jump in very quick succession to climb up onto the roof (this one is more consistent, but I do fail it sometimes).

- I run around to the climbable side of the upper tower and make my way up. Creeping forward and jumping gets me from the windowsill up onto the higher-up protrusion of the window. The placement of things is trickier than it looks here, so I take it slow to avoid bouncing away or failing a mantle.

- At the last ledge before the top, I draw my sword which I'll use to move the unstable bricks. I ready a thrust so I won't hit the wall by accident, and I jump so the attack reaches. As I land I crouch and press myself against the wall to reduce the chance that the brick chunk traps me or knocks me away (in this run it just hits me for a bit of damage). Once it has passed, I jump to the windowsill and finally climb on top of the tower.

- I have watched many speedruns but this is my first time actually doing one and posting it. When I realized this route was possible, I figured making a new "category" out of it like this would be a fun way to share it.

- It might be faster to knock the bricks down from further down, which could be done by "dropping" and then throwing an inventory item such as the journal or spyglass.

- The video is 60 FPS, but I was actually playing at 175 FPS as I use my GPU driver to cap it there. Maybe this is easier or harder at other framerates, I didn't take the time to test.

- The timecode on the video counts recorded frames in the right-most field. Converted to decimal, it rounds up to 34.42 seconds.

I finished DOOM - The Dark Ages the other day. It is a decent shooter, but not as great as its predecessors, especially because of the soundtrack.

I moved from Manjaro Linux (rolling release) to Linux Mint (LTS). One of the reasons was that I found the updates a bit too often and long. But now on Mint I get updates every day, although they're usually small updates.
