Funny, i was just thinking about this :D I loved what i saw in the video, (especially the guard's method of walking ) But seriously, i can't wait, is he almost finished? from what i could see it was a while ago judging by the darkmod version, any hope for a release for christmas or soon after?

I won't say too much but awhile back I took the brazen step of posting a PM to Dram about beta testing this map. Rather than hit the "ignore button" he was gracious to offer that he is still making progress and said that if "I'm still around" at (some-unspecified-time-to-respect-the-implied-privacy) that I would be considered.

I always presumed that he was in closer contact with the official team members but New Horizon's reply makes me wonder

(unless New Horizon is just teasing us as well )

Please visit TDM's IndieDB site and help promote the mod:

(Yeah, shameless promotion... but traffic is traffic folks...)

Since he is working for a game developer, it is understandandable he may be taking more time to be done with his work.

Come the time of peril, did the ground gape, and did the dead rest unquiet 'gainst us. Our bands of iron and hammers of stone prevailed not, and some did doubt the Builder's plan. But the seals held strong, and the few did triumph, and the doubters were lain into the foundations of the new sanctum. -- Collected letters of the Smith-in-Exile, Civitas Approved

It's no big secret. Dram worked on the map as team member then got a full time professional job as a game-maker and is working long hours on completing a pro game so had not had time to complete the FM yet. So there is no time that can be set (AFAIK) but once the pro game is released he expects to have more time to finish off the FM. If for any reason he cannot finish it off then I'm sure we can finish it off for him.

I didn't participate, but I noticed when they were all working on Saint Lucia they would "lock" it while working on it, then upload changes, then "unlock" it. So basically it was one person at a time. I may be wrong about that though.

i am so euphoric to see new FMs keep coming out and I am keen to try it out in my leisure time, then suddenly my PC is spouting a couple of S.M.A.R.T errors...
tbf i cannot afford myself to miss my network emulator image file&progress, important ebooks, hyper-v checkpoint & hyper-v export and the precious thief & TDM gamesaves. Don't fall yourself into & lay your hands on crappy SSD

Does anyone actually use the Normalise button in the Surface inspector? Even after looking at the code I'm not quite sure what it's for.

Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!

I wanna play Doom 3, but fhDoom has much better features than dhewm3, yet fhDoom is old, outdated and probably not supported. Damn!
Makes me think that TDM engine for Doom 3 itself would actually be perfect.

Maybe a bit of advice ? In the FM series I'm preparing, the two main characters have the given names Toby and Agnes (it's the protagonist and deuteragonist, respectively), I've been toying with the idea of giving them family names as well, since many of the FM series have named protagonists who have surnames. Toby's from a family who were usually farriers, though he eventually wound up working as a cobbler (this serves as a daylight "front" for his night time thieving). Would it make sense if the man's popularly accepted family name was Farrier ? It's an existing, though less common English surname, and it directly refers to the profession practiced by his relatives. Your suggestions ?
