Downloading the Dark Mod

Ok I'm at the library using up their bandwidth to download this mod. I am using tdm_updater to download the mod and so far only 4 out of 62 files have downloaded. I am getting a little hungry and I would like to get something to eat... Would I be able to close the download and resume it later on or would it start all over again?

Don't suggest using bit torrent since it won't work in the library, thanks in advance!

It wont continue the last file...

A torrent would...

After running a fast but complete hash check...

On each discreet chunk...

Of...

The whole file set...

All with a client...

That's portable...

Infinitely more versatile...

Pretty...

And only 1/25th the size of...

tdm_update...

Q.E.D is a shorthand for mathematical, logical, or philosophical proof

H. A. G. L. T. I. D. is an acronym that only Aidakeeley can decode

W. H. I. Z. P. O. P. P. E. R. S. is hilarious!

"Whiz" can mean smart or sarcastic

"Poppers" can mean "surprising" or "small bite-size portions"

(among other things)

These two words each have a little humor but combine to become funnier somehow?

Whiz also mean taking a leak, lol. So I don't know how that fits in with Poppers...

Then again, getting Drunk in England is getting pissed and smoking cigarettes is 'smoking fags'... I guess what I'm getting at is it could mean just about anything.

What lies behind "W. H. I. Z. P. O. P. P. E. R. S" is what is really the point, though...

In response to my continued insistence that torrents should be adopted here (as elsewhere) as the preferred method for all file transfers:

Actually, a whizpopper is a fart. I used to read Roald Dahl as a child, and this vocabulary word (along with scrumdiddlyumptious) stuck in my mind.

Does anyone actually use the Normalise button in the Surface inspector? Even after looking at the code I'm not quite sure what it's for.

Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!

I wanna play Doom 3, but fhDoom has much better features than dhewm3, yet fhDoom is old, outdated and probably not supported. Damn!
Makes me think that TDM engine for Doom 3 itself would actually be perfect.

Maybe a bit of advice ? In the FM series I'm preparing, the two main characters have the given names Toby and Agnes (it's the protagonist and deuteragonist, respectively), I've been toying with the idea of giving them family names as well, since many of the FM series have named protagonists who have surnames. Toby's from a family who were usually farriers, though he eventually wound up working as a cobbler (this serves as a daylight "front" for his night time thieving). Would it make sense if the man's popularly accepted family name was Farrier ? It's an existing, though less common English surname, and it directly refers to the profession practiced by his relatives. Your suggestions ?

Looks like the "Reverse April Fools" releases were too well hidden. Darkfate still hasn't acknowledge all the new releases. Did you play any of the new April Fools missions?
