I only have access to a crappy laptop anyway, so old games are the way to go in my free time. :) I recently played Shadowman for that reason. It's a decent game, if you like totally non-linear games. Also older, but good Action Horror Games are "The Suffering"-Games (Quake 3 Engine). It's been quite some time since I played those, but I remember cool, fast action and a disturbing story and atmosphere.

 

Yeah, Shadowman was/is one of my favourites, how do you like my appearance in that game? Did you liked my joke at the very end about the forest-walk? :laugh: Btw, I hated how I had to show myself at the boss-fight at the end, but well, script said so... But the True-forms were cool...

Though the German version got very good voice-over, I like the english version more (besides red blood instead of green), yes, I bought both, I even bought the strategy guide (nice book) and ALL the comics, though only the second Volume´s first 5 or 6 issues are game-related, but they are very good, damn nice art by Ashley Wood...

 

From The Suffering I have both games for PlayStation2 (uncensored UK releases of course), but haven´t tried it so far. But it got very good critics so I´ll play it for sure if I find the time and mood...

 

I would like to celebrate Halloween like they did in the movie 'The Crow - City of Angels', that had something nice about it...

I had heard a lot of praise for this game so I wanted to try it, but it constantly crashed in Windows 7. Have you got any tips on how to run it?

Not sure for Win7, but on my WinXP Undying is working like a charm after patching with my FlipTIB utility. But I must warn you that I haven't test it on WinVista and Win7. If my utility won't help you, try to apply to the Undying's shortcut a compatibility mode with WinXP or even Win98.

      Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!

      I wanna play Doom 3, but fhDoom has much better features than dhewm3, yet fhDoom is old, outdated and probably not supported. Damn!
      Makes me think that TDM engine for Doom 3 itself would actually be perfect.

      Maybe a bit of advice ? In the FM series I'm preparing, the two main characters have the given names Toby and Agnes (it's the protagonist and deuteragonist, respectively), I've been toying with the idea of giving them family names as well, since many of the FM series have named protagonists who have surnames. Toby's from a family who were usually farriers, though he eventually wound up working as a cobbler (this serves as a daylight "front" for his night time thieving). Would it make sense if the man's popularly accepted family name was Farrier ? It's an existing, though less common English surname, and it directly refers to the profession practiced by his relatives. Your suggestions ?

      Looks like the "Reverse April Fools" releases were too well hidden. Darkfate still hasn't acknowledge all the new releases. Did you play any of the new April Fools missions?
