my recommendation is to edit DR while sober (and post on forums as well). I have had problems with both, including the shift-select while dragging mouse across the screen. i find the problem fixes itself when i'm not drunk :D :D

Ummm, lowering your sensitivity and using a dense weave fabric pad helps... I have no idea if any of the logi/razer/other drivers allow you to control dragging more directly, doubt they will as its more or less the apps domain, perhaps we could use a minimum distance drag option? i.e dont count drags if the origin and release differ by less than 3-4 pixels (tho I do use very narrow selections quite often)... seems a bit elaborate tho, if gtk even exposes that kind of stuff.

Well I shift so quickly and my mouse and keyboard are a little worn so its just getting worse over time.

@Greebs (or who ever is doing the coding for DR, is it ok to log a bug tracker for a feature? what i suggest that is for activate drag-select the shift key need to be help down for atleast 0.5 second. This I should stop the selecting behind etc.

in all seriousness i think altering the shift+alt+LMB function would be easier than the shift-LMB idea regarding this issue. modifying shift+alt+LMB to be capable of adding selections with each click (unless clicked directly on top of a previous selection, in which case it would cycle that selection without unselecting all other selections) would be a much easier alternative.

It would be a sort of 'modified' shift click where only one item can be selected at a time, and if the wrong item is selected, it can be cycled through allowing more flexibility.

Question: version 1.5.0 -

Has the bug where you open a map in DR and it puts the number '2' on the end of the name of EVERY entity that dosent already have a number on the end, been logged..?

eg: 'lamp_post2' when the original was 'lamp_post'

Im working on a map atm which has 4200 entities I have to go through entity list inspector to correct almost each and every one of them....!!!!!!!

Does anyone actually use the Normalise button in the Surface inspector? Even after looking at the code I'm not quite sure what it's for.

Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!

I wanna play Doom 3, but fhDoom has much better features than dhewm3, yet fhDoom is old, outdated and probably not supported. Damn!
Makes me think that TDM engine for Doom 3 itself would actually be perfect.

Maybe a bit of advice ? In the FM series I'm preparing, the two main characters have the given names Toby and Agnes (it's the protagonist and deuteragonist, respectively), I've been toying with the idea of giving them family names as well, since many of the FM series have named protagonists who have surnames. Toby's from a family who were usually farriers, though he eventually wound up working as a cobbler (this serves as a daylight "front" for his night time thieving). Would it make sense if the man's popularly accepted family name was Farrier ? It's an existing, though less common English surname, and it directly refers to the profession practiced by his relatives. Your suggestions ?

Looks like the "Reverse April Fools" releases were too well hidden. Darkfate still hasn't acknowledge all the new releases. Did you play any of the new April Fools missions?
