Thought these could potentially be useful.

 

Yes, please bring them ingame :) Btw, does TDM have the real moon, or a fantasy moon?

Nice, but they might be colorized somehow, and not so grayscale. Real moon in the sky is a bit more silvery color, rather than greyscale.

Author discretionary? I think the ingame moons look quite like the real one.

That can easily be done with shaders, tho. Also, it needs the earth shadow anyway.

Yeah, I think so, too, but that should be something thats a TDM universe thing, not a "every mission does it different" thingy :)

Use the far side of the moon and 95% of people will not recognise it. :laugh:

or you could have a moon like the moon in oblivion its not even an earth moon, it looks like an out of focus mars.

Yeah the far side would be interesting, maybe with the seas just on the side. I read the seas are from epic impacts during the heavy bombardment period that bubbled up seas of magma to the surface, long before the whole thing cooled to a cold dead rock.

What do you see when you turn out the light? I can't tell you but I know that it's mine.

I would love to see the far side of the Moon in TDM, or even one of the mid way photos. People always argued about how Thief was Earth, but just an alternate reality...well, how about in the TDM reality...the moon doesn't even face the same direction. lol

      Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh?       I wanna play Doom 3, but fhDoom has much better features than dhewm3, yet fhDoom is old, outdated and probably not supported. Damn!
      Makes me think that TDM engine for Doom 3 itself would actually be perfect.

      Maybe a bit of advice ? In the FM series I'm preparing, the two main characters have the given names Toby and Agnes (it's the protagonist and deuteragonist, respectively), I've been toying with the idea of giving them family names as well, since many of the FM series have named protagonists who have surnames. Toby's from a family who were usually farriers, though he eventually wound up working as a cobbler (this serves as a daylight "front" for his night time thieving). Would it make sense if the man's popularly accepted family name was Farrier ? It's an existing, though less common English surname, and it directly refers to the profession practiced by his relatives. Your suggestions ?

      Looks like the "Reverse April Fools" releases were too well hidden. Darkfate still hasn't acknowledge all the new releases. Did you play any of the new April Fools missions?
