pusianka
I don't know if KOed AI left in bed is seen as sleeping but if so then I add it to this topic. Basicaly I wish to know if it's possible to make now or do we need a feature for such things like the KOed AI on the bed. Other situations I can think of is leaving an AI with bottle of beer or wine, after all alcohol tastes better at night ;D. I feel like thief needs more playing with npcs. So what you think? GameDevGoro
Don't have an answer to whether it works or not, but these are just some of the many logical issues games like Thief face.Such as people hearing the thief making noise in a room packed with other people, or people not being able to see the thief's silhouette against a bright background.Fixing some of these is of course cool and/or useful. I like the idea of knocking out an npc and leaving a bottle next to it. xD
rich_is_bored
Is there a texture that occludes the vision of AI? That would make it really easy. Quote ModWiki
DeTeEff
AI cannot see through caulc...
rich_is_bored
True but that obscures the player's vision too. Quote ModWiki
Komag
In one of the "Ranger's Apprentice" series of books, the main character does the "bottle of wine" trick - he knocks out one of the enemy encampment guards, and later steals some of the wine from the camp supplies and goes back and splashes all over the front of the unconscious guard's tunic and leaves the half empty bottle in his hands, so that when the superiors find him there will be no suspicion of their enemy, only the guard himself!
