Noticed today that the engine tries to load ui/assets/guicursor_hand.tga (respectively dds/ui/assets/guicursor_hand.dds).

If you run TDM in doom-free mode, this image is missing, so I added it now as DDS (a copy of dds/ui/assets/guicursor_arrow.dds) to shut up the warning about the missing file.

When you run TDM with tdmlauncher under doom3, it should use the file from the base. However, I never seen the "hand" image cursor appear, so I am not sure why the engine loads it and where it is used. I had thought the cursor changes to this shape whenyou click (or hover?) over an item - but that seems not to be the case.

Here is for reference the file from D3:

Has anybody any insight into this?

Would this cursor then appear if you look at a book or readable? Could you check this please in game (after updating SVN) to make sure the cursor does not appear now (it should be disabled, but I can't check as TDM no longer runs for me).

DeviceContext.cpp; ln 100

If you're gonna remove that stuff - do so carefully and completely.

I know where the code uses it, but no idea wether our mod hits that code path at all. And so I have no desire to remove it from the code, as I cannot test it. :)

I don't think I did it, but I do think it was removed. It messed with the frob code a lot, and we debated it briefly and tried to think of anything we would ever want with an ingame 2-D point & click style GUI in our setting, and couldn't think of anything. You can still script things with real moveable objects serving as selection cursors, like a quill pen on a check list, etc. Sucks for whoever's making a mod of our mod in a setting with computers, though. :)

Happy Labour Day, my taffing taffers & hard working mapping friends!
And remember the poor souls who, within the Inventors’ organization, labor under Jonus’s yoke to ensure the success of that very guild! Always remember the hard workers!

Is there a script command to make a screenshot?
I just though it could be interesting to be able to create a screenshot at a certain point in time. Then use that screenshot possibly in a debrief.
I guess the second question is: Can you use a (in-game made) screenshot in a (debrief) gui?
