OK I think its time everyone pooled together to create the most amazing plot for an FM ever devised.... one line at a time!

Once upon a time, there was a man who owned a fruit stand in Bridgeport.

Hearing of the recent break-ins in his neighborhood, the fruit stand man became deeply worried about the safety of his precious gomu gomu fruits. He decided to take drastic action.

After speaking with locals at various taverns, the proprietor has identified some of the prime local crime organizations and their territories.

He decides to venture the dangerous streets and sneak into the den of the crime boss who controls his part of town.

With any luck, he can find a stash of loot which he can lead the City Watch to and thereby clean the streets of this scourge.

Such a straightforward plan! Why has nobody ventured such a task before?

Little does the humble merchant know about the affairs of organized crime and the City Watch...

So that night he ventured into the Blind Beggar. It was a notorius tavern for thieves, assassins and anyone who you would want to avoid down a dark alley. It was the perfect place to eavesdrop and find infomation about the cities underworld.

As he was about to leap forward and wrap his hands around Captain Bonkborq's throat he hears the captain say to a hooded fellow "if only we could find a way into that walled off section of the city that has the gomu gomu farm but is regrettably overrun by the undead."

It was at that moment the fruit seller realized that there were more important things in life than getting in trouble with some city watch captains and instead, he decided to visit the local builder monastery for clues how to beat the undead and claim the fabled gomu gomu farm for himself.

But being a cowardly salesman of fruit and a reluctant adventurer he decides to try another approach, and he sets off to buy a very large hat, a hat large enough to hide his gomu gomu fruits under while he is away.

So our hero sets off for "Bob's Hat Emporium" in the Old Quarter, but along the way he is stopped for questioning by the city watch at the Old Quarter gate.

What the hell is "gomu gomu"?! :/ O.o

the gomu gomu fruit is a reference to a popular japanese anime (which I do not like) that is now in its 2393545th season in Japan.

The Gomu Gomu no Mi is a Paramecia-type Devil Fruit that turns the user's body into rubber, making the user a Rubber Human. "Gomu" means rubber in Japanese

Infuriated by the constant fascist city watch interference, the fruit salesman pulls out his trusty gomu gomu fruit knife and charges the totally surprised city watch goons.

[finally some action]

One of the goons recovers quickly, yanking a gomu gomu fruit from his tunic. The knife--despite the fruit salesman's desperate grip on it--fulfills its role in this world and swerves at the last moment, plunging straight into the gomu gomu fruit.

i am so euphoric to see new FMs keep coming out and I am keen to try it out in my leisure time, then suddenly my PC is spouting a couple of S.M.A.R.T errors...
tbf i cannot afford myself to miss my network emulator image file&progress, important ebooks, hyper-v checkpoint & hyper-v export and the precious thief & TDM gamesaves. Don't fall yourself into & lay your hands on crappy SSD

Does anyone actually use the Normalise button in the Surface inspector? Even after looking at the code I'm not quite sure what it's for.

Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!

I wanna play Doom 3, but fhDoom has much better features than dhewm3, yet fhDoom is old, outdated and probably not supported. Damn!
Makes me think that TDM engine for Doom 3 itself would actually be perfect.

Maybe a bit of advice ? In the FM series I'm preparing, the two main characters have the given names Toby and Agnes (it's the protagonist and deuteragonist, respectively), I've been toying with the idea of giving them family names as well, since many of the FM series have named protagonists who have surnames. Toby's from a family who were usually farriers, though he eventually wound up working as a cobbler (this serves as a daylight "front" for his night time thieving). Would it make sense if the man's popularly accepted family name was Farrier ? It's an existing, though less common English surname, and it directly refers to the profession practiced by his relatives. Your suggestions ?
