Greetings dear friends! To celebrate the tenth anniversary of the release of my FM, I have published a (hopefully) worthy update to it. Version 2 of my FM called "Sneak & Destroy" uses many new features that have been added to TDM over the years, fixes numerous bugs that were overlooked at the time, but the FM still remains true to the original one. So if you had problems playing this FM lately, if you never played this FM or if you wish to revisit a tiny but lovely part of the TDM history, this update is for you! Download the latest version via the in-game downloader and celebrate the past 10 years with me together! 🙂

Visual improvements to city area and interior rooms

Enriched the scenes with additional audio

Fixed critical bugs that were introduced as TDM was updated

Added triggered Conversations for NPCs

Added EFX support to all areas

Changed multiple aspects of the map in terms of better gameplay and progression

Corrected and inserted new writings in books and notes

Reduced amount of loot necessary to end mission

Added lantern and looking glass to inventory

Made use of new particle effects to enhance visual quality

Heading for the Beginner's Contest 2012 I recently learned how to use Dark Radiant and some additional software to make it through 4 months of building and now finally releasing my first fanmission for The Dark Mod.

 

As also seen in the Readme I want to thank Steve for his voice, the beta testers Bikerdude, PPoe and Sir Taffsalot. As well as the team members who constantly evolved a great modification that made all this possible. Last but not least the community which helped and supported me so much.

 

My thank you isn't just words - it is this mission, for all of you. Have a great time with it! :)

Congrats! Downloading very rapidly... have about enough time for a quick bio break... then a new mission to play!! :)

This mission is outstanding. Reminds me of why I need to stop putting fancy crap all over my projects and just concentrate and making something enjoyable. This FM has LOT's of great gameplay elements, and the

well designed environmental incentive for players to use moss arrows

deserves a goddamn standing ovation.

Well done! I thoroughly enjoyed playing this.

I only missed a rather small amount of gold, so will have to load my last save and find the rest.

 

Played on medium because I am addicted to KOs. I only missed 55 gold. I used only 1 water arrow (in the kitchen of all places) and 1 broadhead, and 0 moss... the rest was all blackjack. That is the only reason I voted Good on gameplay instead of excellent... I was not forced to use moss or noisemakers and found the AI easy to KO. I left one or two AI sleeping in their beds. All the rest were KO'd. Stealth score 0 with 6 level 1 alerts.

Congrats on the release ST! I'm not going to vote until I've played all the entries. I'm looking forward to playing the finished version over the wknd. I had a lot of fun beta testing this. I really hope we get a sequel with regards to this future job that the lady in the intro alludes to.

      Turns out my 15th anniversary mission idea has already been done once or twice before! I've been beaten to the punch once again, but I suppose that's to be expected when there's over 170 FMs out there, eh? I'm not complaining though, I love learning new tricks and taking inspiration from past FMs. Best of luck on your own fan missions!

      I wanna play Doom 3, but fhDoom has much better features than dhewm3, yet fhDoom is old, outdated and probably not supported. Damn!
      Makes me think that TDM engine for Doom 3 itself would actually be perfect.

      Maybe a bit of advice ? In the FM series I'm preparing, the two main characters have the given names Toby and Agnes (it's the protagonist and deuteragonist, respectively), I've been toying with the idea of giving them family names as well, since many of the FM series have named protagonists who have surnames. Toby's from a family who were usually farriers, though he eventually wound up working as a cobbler (this serves as a daylight "front" for his night time thieving). Would it make sense if the man's popularly accepted family name was Farrier ? It's an existing, though less common English surname, and it directly refers to the profession practiced by his relatives. Your suggestions ?
