Has anyone installed this game using GOG galaxy, I keep getting told I dont have enough disk space - despite telling it where I want my games/extra's installed.

Uninstalling and removing related servicess, then reinstalling in my E:\Gog\ folder (like E:\Steam) and again telling it where I wanted to install my games (E:\Gog) works, now downloading WWH.

Likely I'll be getting Witcher 3 in a few months when I get a new ISP with more download bandwidth. I've got interested in GOG. Anyone advise on that?

But my main question is, how does gameplay compare between Witcher 2 & 3. I never finished 2 then the install got lost with my last dead PC. Now I've got the enhanced version for Xbox360 and just got started up to the escape the dungeon. Now, I know 3 is not available for the 360 but I'm not buying a new console just for this. Anyway, they say the PC version is better. I've 'only' got a GTX580 which is below the minimum requirements but a lot of people say it works fine if you turn off some of the config.

So, anyway, replaying 2 on 360 the movements are really seriously clunky compared to say Dying Light or Dark Mod. The slightest touch on the move stick and Geralt jerks 20 degrees. Douse a torch before opening door but when I then open the door, Geralt steps out automatically into the lit corridor with a guard ahead. WTF? Stealth is needed here but it's so absurdly bad it's made me rethink. No crouch. I did find a 'hide' popup when I dodged into a side cell. Is Witcher 3 as bad? Or have they totally modified how he moves and is controlled? I doubt it. Game developers tend to get stuck in their own narrow-minded view. What do you think, you who have already started on 3?

On a side note, I loaded up GTA 4 the other day and the walking on that is similarly clunky. Driving is fine. But I tried walking up a ramp on a building site. Now, it looks about 6 to 8 foot wide but I kept falling off! Because the lightest touch swivels him 20 or 30 degrees. (nothing up there when I reached the top anyway!) Compare Dying Light where you can walk along a two inch wide fence fairly easily if you're careful.

My version was on GOG, just create an account, download and install the galaxy client and then download/install the game - very similar to steam.

Its far better than TW2 in my humble opinion, I played TW3 before playing TW2 and only got as far as the fort at the start. The combat on TW2 is much harder and less forgiving than TW3. The gfx, acting, animations are far better in TW3. And as you found TW2 movement is very clunky compared to TW3. Regarding stealth, there is a certain element and its enjoyable. But dont exspect to become invisable just because you stood in a dark shadow - its more like TDM than T1/2 - as in realistic.

Most games these days seem clunky compared to TDM, fact of life.

Get TW3 and get the season pass while your at it, its all totally worth it. And if you want to save yoursefl some cash, buy the gog/steam keys from one of the many key sites - TW3 @ €11 and season pass @ €20

Okay, thanks, Biker

Do GOG have a 'resume download' option? I'm limited to 20GB download per month and I think TW3 is around 25 to 30? So, could I download half at the end of one month and resume for the other half in the next month?

I don't play that many games so is a season pass really worth it? What's it for?

And what's a steam key do?

They do, but in this day and age I can't understand why on earth there are still ISP's that have a shit-arse 20GB p/m bandwidth limit. Who are you with/price and who are going to change to and price..?

If you going with the GOG version, I can help you out - you have a PM.

I'm on a 3-month contract with Fastnet at about £24 per month. After that I might move to Andrews & Arnold, similar price but 100GB per month. Both have good service response whereas the larger companies like Plusnet offer 'unlimited' for about £11 but poor service.

So had a look at Andrews and Arnold and hey are being deliberately obtuse, no-where does it mention the connection speed. So at a guess I'm assuming its ADSL2+ (20MB/2MB).

Whats the first 3 digits of yer post code because if Zen internet supports your location, you can have fibre 38MB/10MB with truly unlimited cap for £27.

I researched ISPs on and off for 3 months at the end of last year and have a big list and a short list. Zen received bad reviews for service and could not offer a dynamic IP (which I prefer for security/privacy.) I agree the package you mention is good value but I'm already stretched to the £24 (previously I paid £14.99 so big increase for little visible change.) I think I'd rather go with Plusnet's bad service for unlimited ADSL2+ at £11 if I'm going for bad service. I spoke to them on the phone last year and the guy swore they had no fair use capping (whether true or not I dunno.)

But A & A also only offer a static IP. I exchanged emails with them but they couldn't offer dynamic.

I'm not even sure any longer how much security/privacy dynamic IPs gives anyway since Google's got us all tracked and profiled and can easily match to the batch of IPs of a particular ISP.

Anyway, I can get out of my 3 month contract in another 3 month and rethink it all then. Frankly, I'm sick of it all. My typical useage is only about 2 or 3GB with very occasional needs to download a few extra gig. Witcher is exceptional. We're talking a download once in several years so it seems wasteful to have to pay for a high average one hardly ever uses.

No ISP can offer dynamic IP anymore, as IP address have been very limited for the last few years as the we slowley run out of them.

Maybe its because I am on Fibre, but I have not had any issue other than the odd connection issue in the 2 years I have been with them. Hmm I suppose in your case its not about the speed but the cap, whats your location as it would help narrow down ISP's

No, it's about service and price. Service is in two parts: disconnections and how they respond if you do have a connect (or speed or any other) problem.

Happy Labour Day, my taffing taffers & hard working mapping friends!
And remember the poor souls who, within the Inventors’ organization, labor under Jonus’s yoke to ensure the success of that very guild! Always remember the hard workers!

Is there a script command to make a screenshot?
I just though it could be interesting to be able to create a screenshot at a certain point in time. Then use that screenshot possibly in a debrief.
I guess the second question is: Can you use a (in-game made) screenshot in a (debrief) gui?
